Who's All Going To CMU?

Post by Dayons_Den »

I will be leaving on Friday evening and hopefully staying somewhere around Mt. Pleasant. Anyone have tips on where to stay this late? I see it is homecoming and a lot of the hotels in town are booked up, but anyone know of places a few minutes out of town that would have a Super 8 or some crap? Sort of a Perrysburg type distance. . .

Also, curious to see who else is going and if anyone would like to tailgate.
ANyone know of crazy CMU restrictions? Don't want to get kicked out of town before kick off....

I'll be up there on Saturday around noon. In 2002, it was like a huge frat party in the tailgate lot, so unless they've really cracked down, I think you can do pretty much whatever you want.

Yeah, tailgating is still nuts as ever over at Central. Here's to hopin we can play well enough to make it a good homecoming. Hope you guys have a safe trip. There is a Hampton Inn right off M-20 in Mount pleasant.
Central may not win but we sure know how to celebrate.

I'll be paying attention to the game on the internet at my house. I wish I could go. Should be a great game.

We are going up Saturday am and staying Saturday night for alittle casino action. You might want to try the Doerhty Hotel in Clare, Michigan, just north of Mt Pleasant. http://www.dohertyhotel.com/
We are staying there at a reasonable rate and they don't require a two night stay. It is a nice older hotel, where the BG teams always used to stay until a few years ago. Good food and a good bar too! :D

I'll be there with my dad and some friends! The only thing I ask of the crowd is that you stay loud the whole game! NIU was rather upsetting to turn around and see everyone sitting and silent when we were only down by one TD! Lets change that up at CMU!!!!

My son and I will be there. According to the CMU football board parking lot 62-East is a calmer spot to tailgate. Two years ago, as some of you remember, the student lot was a mess. Freak can certainly attest to that. 62-East might be the answer.

SHould we "officially" mark that lot as a BG gathering point?

Sounds good to me! I don't mind a rowdy environment but I would glady rather hang out in a calmer place with BG people!

Ed and I are taking a half day of vacation tomorrow to start driving up to Central. We will spend the night in a hotel, Ed already made the reservations but I forget where we are staying, and then we get up Saturday morning and drive the rest of the way up to Central. Should be a great day for some Falcon Football.

Looks like the forecast is perfect! Sunny and 68!
I agree about Lot 62 East. We'll be looking there first cuz I really don't want the boys around that CMU student crowd. They were absolutely awful 2 years ago...language, behavior, drunkeness and just downright nasty. I know, I know, every school has them but Ham0331 is correct. It wasn't any fun hangin out last time because of their actions. They totally trashed a beautiful, new parking lot.

C everyone there!

GO FALCONS!!!

Don't just look! If you get there and no one is there, wait...more Falcons will soar in! :D
