Kentucky beat Tennessee!
Kentucky beat Tennessee!
66-63 final, first time UT has dropped back to back games since '97. This has to help BG's RPI, but man that narrow defeat at UK would have been a huge win now!

Huge win tonight for the Lady wildcats. It was a great game to watch last night. Really wish I had gone at halftime. This was the first time UK as beat UT since 1986. It was a huge crowd last night too. A record setting 13600 some people. UT really seemed to play much more physical than UK, but they managed to get the win. Pfeiffer is on a roll with ~28 or 30 consecutive FTs made.
Interesting story, Pat Summit was almost a UK coach. She was offered at job with a salary of 9000.00$, it was a 100$ raise from her UT job. She would have taken it too, except UK said they didn't have money in the budget to pay for her moving expenses.
If BG wins out the MAC and UK keeps up the strong playing, the 4pt OT loss to UK will not look at all bad.

WOW!! I was so caught up in BG's win at Kent that I didn't see that score.
Congrats to the UK women on a huge win. As far as BG beating Tennessee? At this point, I'd put them up against any team in the country and give them a chance. I'd like to see how BG would do against Ohio State...they buried us last year but I think this year it would be a pretty good game.
Tenn has dropped back to back games for the first time in almost a decade???
Hard to fathom that.

UK-UT game......
Yeah, I found out by a email that ukhoopsfan.com the forum for Kentucky ladies hoops sent me about their game. I was surprised that was a huge win for the Wildcats. That loss does not look bad at all now. I wonder what we could do against them though. I think we would have to play them here in our place to give them run though. Imagine Tennesse at Anderson Arena , that could possibly bring well over 2500 fans to watch our lady falcons!
They would never come here of course but its fun to fantasize.

An SEC team coming here isn't that far feched considering that Indiana will be playing at AA next season. Tennessee of course would be a stretch but I think we've earned a home game against Kentucky.

Why wouldn't a SEC team go to BG? I see absolutely no reason why not. A top notch program, good attendance.... why not?
(not to bring it up, but here's an example)
Miami hosted Vanderbilt, in Millett. If Miami can do it, I don't see why BG couldn't. BG has arguably the best team in recent history.
