I've seen Akron play twice this season, against Ohio and Miami. Both games were close, they lost to Ohio and beat Miami. I think they are a good team with good balance, but this is a game we can win without a doubt if we play like we are capable of. Last year, we lost by two 71-69 when Dru Joyce hit that shot with one second left. That was a dagger. Let's not let that happen again. GO BG!!!

I will say this. If we beat Akron tomorrow, on the heels of shocking Kent State last Thursday, this team will have turned a corner. Akron is leading the MAC East division right now I think, so any time you beat the leading team its big.

I agree. And to add to that, I honestly don't think there is a game or a team we can't expect to beat this year, especially at home. Now I'm not saying we're going to win the rest of our games and we won't lose again or anything like that. What I am saying is, I believe we can beat anyone that is remaining on our schedule if we play well. Although Akron is a very solid team, I do expect us to beat the Zips. I think we can play just as well as they can, and we're at home, where in my opinion, we should win and should start playing a little better there than we have lately. We've already lost three home games this season and the last two were by a combined four points. It's time to start getting a home court winning streak going again and that starts with Akron! Great point...after a rough start to the season, that win Thursday night was a shot in the arm. After today's game....BG has Miami twice, Ohio twice, & Kent, Buffalo and Akron again in the East. BG still plays at UT and a home game with EMU. There's also the bracket buster game at AA on 2/18, which I will be attending.

Get a win today and BG is a playa in the East! Lots of games left...

Good points, 33. I agree, there is no game on our schedule that we shouldn't view as a possible win. OU, Kent, Akron, Buffalo, and Miami... all of these teams are good, but none of them are extremely good. All of them are beatable.

I think a win today would be huge. Its a test to see if we really are making progress.

This is the first game this season that I've really felt "pumped" about... I think we can, and will beat Akron today! I'm excited to get back into Anderson!
