Should we be concerned?

I was told by someone who knows ( ) that Freddy will not be moved from QB this year, but may well see some additional time at some other positions.

So far as game experience goes...Van Johnson is the only guy other than Turner who's taken any snaps. I don't think they want to keep him at QB.
So, you can either have Barnes, a guy with no collegiate QB experience that you may want to move to WR or true freshmen Glaud/Sheehan as your QB back ups. If your set on moving Barnes, what choice do you have but to have a freshman back up?

The only alternative I see is signing a JC QB over the summer a la Jason Washington.

I never really realized this before, but BG and UT are in the same situation with quarterbacks. We have one guy that played a little last year as a redshirt freshman and no one else has any experience as they will all be either redshirt freshman or true freshman this fall.

We both have a pretty big question mark at QB. Anthony Turner was highly regarded, but just doesn't have enough experience to really know. Clint Cochran was highly regarded at UT, but just doesn't have enough experience to really know.

You guys have a guy named Freddie Barnes that redshirted last year and is quick with a strong arm. UT has a guy named Brandon Summers that redshirted last year and is quick with a strong arm.

Very weird.
