They're not as pricey as some would think. I'd say between 8K and 10K.

I know I am starting to date myself by referring to this movie, but for you movie buffs, the stadium is shown in the scene where the wrestler called Shute was carrying a log on his shoulders while walking up the stands. If you’ve seen the movie, you’ll remember the part.
Louden: "Hey Shute!"

Kuch: "Careful, Lowden."

Louden: "Hey, Shute!"

Shute: "Yeah. Do I know you?"

Louden: "Louden Swain, Thompson High."

Shute: "Think you'll make the weight?"

Louden: "I don't know, I hope so."

Shute: "I hope so, too."

I think I may have seen that scene/movie one too many times in my life. Who am I kidding? It's not possible to see this movie too many times.

If we can't get the statue, I just say we have the football team train like Brian Shute. We'll be unstoppable, unless, of course, all of the Toledo players start banging hot, live-in drifters.

Then we'll place a statue of Moe Ankney down by the Poe Ditch.

I know that was our big recruiting pitch this year. Modine looked pretty good in the movie but the Shute guy was just a beast. I still have trouble buying Modine's win.

LOL! NYFalcon, that's gotta be my favorite scene in the movie. I also loved the music they were playing during that scene too. Funny enough, this past football season, I was at the Notre Dame vs. Navy game in South Bend with some friends. We were sitting pretty close to the Notre Dame sidelines, and I looked down to see who was walking around down there because someone was drawing some attention, and it was Matthew Modine. I recognized him (but couldn't remember his name) and said to my friends, hey, look, there's the dude from the movie Vision Quest. They were like "who?"

BG has the expertise for a bronze in house. One of the objects of art at 5/3 Field in Toledo was done by a BGSU art prof. If this gentleman can be recruited to help out, the cost of this project ought to come down somewhat.

Never underestimate the power of Red Riders "Lunatic Fringe!" I have no wrestling experience, but once, after listening to that song, I took Dan Gable down in 10 seconds flat.

All this Vision Quest talk has got me going now! You gotta love the scene when Louden climbs the peg-board, or at the end when Carla tells Louden to kick Shute's ass. LOL! I've gotta fire up that movie and watch it tomorrow. I bought the DVD for like seven bucks or something at Best Buy a few months ago.

That sounds like a great idea. You gotta show your history and this would help big time with that. Someone get on that pronto! :D

What about that same-era movie where Aidan Quinn levels the db as the qb scores the TD in "Reckless".

Ahhhhh, the pro-set formation with two RB's!!
