Liz had 15 rebounds and Kate had 20pts!!!!!. Great win Ladies.
There had to be more than 1581 there tonight, there wasn't an empty seat to be found on the east side of the arena, until you got into the diagonal section. The west side was mostly filled up too, until maybe halfway up the upper section. It wasn't much less than Sunday's game against Akron.
On another note, tonight's game was great. Our defense was outstanding for the first 12 minutes of the 2nd half, and that allowed us to build a big lead. We got sloppy with our free throws at the end, and that's what caused the game to be closer than it really was at the end, but for 36-37 minutes, this game was a butt-kicking. Amber was awesome tonight, she really made some big plays while some of our starters were in foul trouble early, Ali played another good game, Kate absolutely went off! 20 points for her? Wow! Just another night of great performances for this team.
Side note, the referees were VERY whistle happy tonight. Neither team could get into a rhythm early because of all the whistles. It continued into the 2nd half too.
you are right, there was definetly more than 1581 there last night, but it wasnt as big as the akron guys game. you gotta remember that the bleacher section ub above one basket is always folded up and was full for the akron game. it was still a great game and a great atmosphere. it looked last night like people cared about girls basketball lastnight! Great job fans and ladies, you really proved tonight that no one can touch us in this conference.
It was kind of hard to notice anything with Martin Lawrence in full Big Momma makeup stomping around. Holy crap that was a whole lotta woman.
Yeah, but she was slow as molasses, as soon as she came in and Amber had her dead to rights on drive I yelled for Amber to burn her and on cue Amber got the pass on the left side inside the 3 line and she immediatly took #50 to the rack and layed in it practictly uncontested.
One thing I couldn't help but notice was the speed of Kate Achter. She burned EMU's best player a couple times, including once to break up what would have been an easy breakaway layup.

That play was amazing. Coleman is the best open court player and finisher in the league and Kate punked her pretty good on that one.
I can't decide which was more amazing...Coleman's block and steal on that play or Kate's hustle to make her miss the layup. It was a crazy series.

I noticed that too. I mentioned it incredulously at least two or three times to the girl next to me.
