Warthog - Have you ever asked Leather's opinion of Ritts?

I didn't read the thread so I apologize if someone already mentioned him, but my favorite professor that I have had here at BGSU has to be Dr. Steve Ludd.

Let's see.. favorites:
Brett Holden - ENG 150 & 200. This guy has to be one of my favorite people of all time. He has, on more than one occasion, spent upwards of a half an hour just talking to me. Not about assignments, just talking.
Cynthia Mahaffey - ENG 111. Another one of those teachers who was always there for people. She'd spend an hour + helping out kids who weren't even in her class.
I guess I got lucky though, because of being in the Chapman community. I'd be hard pressed to find any teachers here that I dislike.

Ewart Skinner - TCOM 255. Easily my least favorite teacher at BG. The guy was a total prick. He gave us a 10pg. syllabus the first day of class, and within the first week, completely abandoned it without even a hint of what was to come. The class average on his tests was 60%, and at least half the class dropped it and droppd TCOM as their major (me included). He actually told kids that they should drop out of college. Completely condescending and seemed to get a kick out of making kids feel dumb. The worst part? He was the head of the department!

Agreed! Ludd is awesome & he is one of the biggest reasons I went to law school. His classes were always my favorites.

My brother feels the same way about Skinner. I have a feeling if the two meet in a dark alley...

I always thought Skinner was alright. 255 was one of the bitch classes of the TCOM schedule, and I'm sure I cursed his name at the time, but as I went on, I realized he was an okay guy.

(And I didn't even have to drop the major to see that!

Outside of class, when I have seen him, I haven't had any troubles. I just think that having the department chair teaching a class where nobody gets more than a 65% on any of his tests is sort of ridiculous. I understand a lot of kids are slackers, but when your class average is a failing grade... that's bad.
I dunno, maybe I should have stuck it out, but I just couldn't do it anymore.

So I went to SOME classes. Dr. Ludd was awesome & worth making to class for. And it didn't hurt that a cute rugby player I knew took those classes with me, so that was more incentive to go.

Dr.Irina Stakhanova. Pushes, challenges and brings the international perspective within view. She is one of the most intelligent people I have met.

Best History: Tie between Dr. Hess and Dr. Gidlow

Back in the day
Favorite in Gepgraphy: Dr. Buford, great speaker and a gentlemen
Favorite in Political Science: Dr Krauter, Constitutional Law (made me think I wanted to be a lawye)

Oooooh, Krauter, gross. I don't remember him being that great of a teacher. But he was the guy with the meatball sized growth on his creepy bald head. He always gave good grades & he was an okay teacher, but that thing on his head TOTALLY distracted me.
