Seeing THe Future!!!

I can see us and Toledu bing in the same situation as University of Colorado and Colorado State University soon. The reason why I'm thinking of this is because of the rumors of Toledu moving to the Big East. The Big East has and auto Bid to a BCS game, just as the Big XII (University of Colorado Buffaloes). While CU Buffs and UC Rams have a deep traditional rivalry as we do, one has an auto bid while the other doesn't. If Toledu moves to the Big East we'll be left behind as Marshall and UCF has made the move too! I'd hate to see this because we're a high caliber team that can compete with any team in the country as we proved over tha last couple of years! MAC vs. Big East! Not to mention that Toledu would generate way more revenue, increasing their endowment tenfold over us!

What are you talking about? I have heard nothing about TU going to the BE, and there is absolutely nothing to be found regarding this on MACbbs. Where are you getting this speculation?

One of UT's recruits was quoted as saying something to the effect that Amstutz mentioned Toledo moving to the Big East very soon.

Has it become obvious yet that ChicagoFalcon is a toledo fan?

It is surprising he didn't do quite as much during recruiting crunch time as he did last year. The "think outside the box" series of comments were unique though. Much better than the "ugly campus" series of last year.

A recruit saying that Amstutz said "Toledo might have a chance to" and saying that a recruit said Amstutz mentioned Toledo moving to the Big East very soon are two different things. The recruit never said that Amstutz said Toledo would be moving to the Big East at any point and there have been several articles of people that interviewed that recruit and him mentioning going to Toledo and only that one article said anything about Toledo and a possibility of the Big East. For all we know, the writer of that article could have made it up. I've read 4 or 5 other articles with writers that talked to that recruit and he never said anything about this Big East comment, and one of those articles was out before this one that he supposedly told the writer of the article this.

Don't be sorry. I am just making sure people are not getting the wrong impression on what was said in the article. Too many people start changing things slightly and they tell other people who change it slightly and tell other people and before you know it people are saying that Buffalo is joining the AFC North.

I thought the premise behind a DISCUSSION board was...DISCUSSION? Oh, that's right, we're supposed to keep our mouths (keyboards) shut and only speak of happy things! OK then... Good times!

No it ain't all sugar plums and gumdrops around here, but this kind of "yellow journalism" on a message board can only cause confusion, and eventually lead to cats and dogs sleeping with one another.
