Speaking of old-school MAC/UT hoops... remember the dynamic duo from Ottawa Hills of Paul Abbendroth playing at BGSU and his classmate Reeves Northrup at UT??

Reeves is a great guy that I've delt with in business. He's also a champion of the Reeves Northrup Memorial Northwest Ohio MS Bike-To-The-Bay (named for his dad).

I could drop some old UT names on you too... Jeff Haar was from my HS... I remember him and Jeff Coyles coming back to Woodmore to a basketball practice when I was a freshman (they were freshmen in college)... Jeff Coyles was every bit of 6'11"

Jay Gast, Mitch Adamek... Didn't both BG and UT have a Dick Miller at one point?

As for Stan and his job... ummm. *shrug*

Hey Ziggy

That is pretty cool as well. I remember going to the games with my dad, and vaguely remember Reeves Northup. Did he play before, Kenny Eperson? He was playing under Bobby Nichols, that I remember.

As for the other names that you mentioned, I remember them too. Funny that you mentioned Mitch Adameck. He was just at Saturday's game. Still moves slow! Good guy though. You are right, both BG and UT had a Dick Miller in their line up.

Trivia Time: Who was Miami, Ohio's super star in the mid 80's??

Good call Jaco. Did he ever make it in the NBA? I remember hearing, was only 11 at the time, that he couldn't read? Is that correct?

he was a first rounder for the cavs, and was traded to the clippers for reggie williams and danny "the next larry bird" ferry. he won five championships (3 with the bulls and 2 with the lakers). i find it hard to believe that he couldn't read.

I could be wrong...but I remember an SI article that said that he was unable to read in high school and went through college with a great deal of "help". But thanks for the stats. The fact that you mentioned Danny Ferry...is it possible that Duke replicates these guys year in year out?

Ferry, Latener, Cherokee Parks, Reddick....good lord!

Palombezio played a game at UT with a badly injured hand-several stitches from getting bit by his pet pirahna. Nobody said he was bright.

Here's one for you really old timers. Jim Kindle came to UT in a trade with BG for what UT player (well, OK, they transferred at the same time, Kindle to UT from BG and the other guy from UT to BG)? I really couldn't remember and halfway through this post it came to me. See if anyone else knows. Hint: he was from New Joisey.

Speaking of Dan Palombizo, can anyone name the coach for Ball State at the time?

Cmon Flipper, you should know this one!

Dang Jaco, very good. I believe Majerus was in his second to last year when Palombizo was there.

I think Steve Cooper was the player "traded" for Kindle.
