Maybe RF should save his opinions for his beloved Scuds, since he "is sure" we would be playing in Minnesota on a one for one or two for one deal!!.
Your class shows again. Me saying I am sure it would be a 1 for 1 or 2 for 1 was not meant to be classless or a slam on BG. Who here, including factlessman, would have expected to hear it is a one game only deal to be played at BG? Don't raise your hand too fast now.

That is great news for BG to have a one game only deal to bring Minnesota in. Any idea of how this was arranged? Is it possible that this was done with the understanding that BG would play at another Big Ten school? Any idea what kind of pay BG has to give Minnesota for a one game only deal in BG?

These are all questions that need to be answered before factlessman gets too big of a head.

For the sake of all other BG fans, players, and coaches......I hope it is a one game only with no strings attached deal. That is great for BG and for the MAC.

And before factlessman or someone else points out that he gave the wink smiley in his post, he knows that I am not stupid enough to buy into his wink attempt.

Yes, I'm guessing we'll be playing at some other Big Ten schools in order to have landed this home game with Minnesota without having to return there.
GO BG!!!

In fairness to RF, it is true that a one-game deal with a Big 10 team visiting a MAC school has rarely (if ever) happened. It looks like times have changed, and for the better!

I think WVU would be a big draw, but I'm not sure that any other Big East team would help us fill the Doyt, maybe Pittsburgh. The attendance in a home game with Pittsburgh not long ago, however, was very disappointing.

Salsa, wasn't the Pittsburgh game in 2000? I think things would be different this time around, as much has changed for both BG and Pitt. In 2000, BG stunk and average attendance was really low. In 2000, Walt Harris was finally starting to get the Pitt program back to respectability. Both schools have much greater fan interest now than they had back then.

I didn't call anyone names. I guess you could say "factlessman" is calling you a name, but who cares. You and I both know that we totally dislike each other and have a true hatred for each other. I think calling you factlessman is actually being fairly nice to you.

As for not being able to stand being called out when I am wrong, I don't know that I am wrong. For one thing, someone that couldn't stand it would not have said any of the following that I said:

"That is great news for BG to have a one game only deal to bring Minnesota in. For the sake of all other BG fans, players, and coaches......I hope it is a one game only with no strings attached deal. That is great for BG and for the MAC."

Quit making your hatred for Toledo and me, make you say things that don't make sense.......ie; "He just can't stand to be called out when he is WRONG!"

I'd like to say that I thought your orginal post was pretty acurate, fair and congratulatory. We really don't need this pissing match between UT and BG people on every issue. It is a drag when the real issue is what a great game and advancement this is for BG.

Who will be at this game? I will!!! Kind of a strange game to be getting hyped up for, but now that I'm in KS, this is HUGE for me.

Along those lines, Toledo plays @ KU (20 miles from here) next season, and I will be there decked out in my Orange and Brown to cheer against our Rockets. Thats all for now, Jeff

You mean Kansas plays at Toledo in 2006, right?

Now that I have a reason to be a Kansas fan, I may have to make the reverse road trip just to watch my Jayhawks stomp the crap of slUT in the glASS bowl!!

Then again, maybe not....the BG to Kansas and back in a weekend thing was BRUTAL!!!

And one more thing.....it looks like Toledo has done everything in their power to stay away from the big ten....2009 is their first game!

Unless you count Purdue in 2007. :?

And realize that with only three OOC games on each of those schedules, there's one more game to fill each year that EVERYONE is still looking to fill since the 12th game was approved relatively recently.
