I had the pleasure of talking with Coach Voll after the last women's game. He reminded us that during the "days" Jackie and the girls were very similar to this year's squad.
They would play fine but all of a sudden, it was as if a switch went on and they decided it was time to put the game away. They never played poorly or lackadiasical, it was like they had a higher gear tucked away. He feels this year's team has the same gear and he doesn't worry when we get behind...he just watches for the "gear change" and knows it's their time to go to work.
I guess I forgot how the games went along back then.....I just remember all the fun!
