Steven Wright Wants to Rejoin the Team?

Post by Redwingtom »

Norm Wamer on 1470 a few moments ago said the he heard that Wright wants to come back to the team ONCE AGAIN!!!

He also said that he has learned that Stan Joplin has already been told that he is not going to be coaching the rockets next year.

If this is true and I'm Dakich I say enough is enough. Wright has threatened to leave and has left multiple times. Tell Wright good luck in his future endeavors but there is no longer room for him on the team. Especially if he's telling recruits not play here.

i second that, wright has been a decent player for us but is not worth the headaches he has caused for dakich and the rest of the team. i think the team is better off without steve because now maybe we'll get to see clements and gerin and moten more...maybe since theyd be getting playing time...they wont transfer

I'd have Joplin join just so we can see the suits.

If this is true, we just need to keep one thing in mind. Dakich left BG for WVU and we took him back. So if this is the case, I say it would only be fair to meet and speak with Wright and get to the bottom of the problem. I would love to see Wright back on the team. Who knows what sparked the parting in the first place. If the team and coaching staff would have him back, I would love to have him back too. I never wanted to see him go in the first place and aside from seeing him back at BG this year, I’d love to see him back here next year too.

I have to agree with sville, this team doesn't have room for a player like Wright anymore. No matter what kind of skills he has, attitudes like his are never something you want in your progrom.

Yeah if this were the first time he has left the team I'd say fine he deserves a second chance. The thing is he leaves once a year and we keep taking him back and when we take him back he has his annual I'm going to leave the team again tantrum.

True. But with the way we lose players every year, if someone actually wants to come back who's been here, I'm putting out the welcome back sign. Of course, much of it would be based on why there departure occurred in the first place though. I hope he comes back, but doubt it will happen. But if it's a possibility, that'll be up to the coaches and players to decide, not us. The quote we saw said "Bowling Green State University men's basketball coach Dan Dakich has announced that by mutual agreement senior guard Steven Wright will no longer be a part of the men's basketball program." If they mutually agreed he would no longer be a part of them team, maybe they can mutually agree he can rejoin. Who knows? But I'm hoping to see him back.

Whoa, Tricky, is this really true? In my book, that would be unforgivable.

I don't like some of the other things I heard about Wright (if they are true), either. Someone had posted that Wright can't wait for the season to be over and was advertising the fact blatently. IF these things are true, this is pretty serious disrespect towards the team and himself.

With the current team we could use any big man over Wright. He just does not bring enough to the floor. Let him walka nd give his schollie to a big man.
