What a great pairing!

Post by bgsufalcon24 »

You know, we could have drawn Ohio State, Notre Dame, Northern Michigan, Ferris, or gasp...Alaska-Fairbanks, in the first round of the CCHA tournament. We would most likely meet our doom facing teams that we failed against in the regular season. But no, we completely bomb out (0-7-1 in the CCHA) in the final four weeks of the season, and we get rewarded with a matchup with Nebraska-Omaha, a team we beat twice in the regular season. That's a pretty nice gift. GO FALCONS!!! SWEEP UNO AGAIN!!!

Please note that DUH mavs are 10-6-3 at their home ice this year. Correct me if I am wrong, those who want to check, but I don't think we have EVER swept them out there. Our record out there isn't great. It is a better draw than having to go to Alaska, as that would REALLY suck, but it's still going to be a really tough trip. The good news is, despite the record of the last 6 games, we have played better in a lot of ways. Hopefully that will carry on into the playoffs!! We have spoiled a LOT of team's home ice playoff games (with a LOT less talent) and we can do it again!!! That said....

GO FALCONS!!
SWEEP DUH MAVS!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."
