WOW, I didn't realize it was THAT boring in Nebraska...

You would think we would be the ones aloud to talk smack since we did sweep you guys out of BG. But seriously, it takes two to make a rivalry and thus far you have yourselves. WE DON'T CARE

Why is it such an insult to be called a farmboy? I'm rather proud of that part of my origin

Besides, even if BG is a cow town, what the hell do people from Nebraska have to talk about to people in Ohio? You can't honestly call BG a cow town when your whole state is one big cow town.

I believe our UNO friend is making no such reference. The image is - I believe - from the cult hit Brokeback Mountain. I can't say I have seen this movie but evidently it's standard viewing fair for the UNO crowd.

Our rather obtuse friend is making the reference to a disciplinary action which involved some hockey players some time ago...has it been last year already? See, UNO fans let nothing go. They have a rivalry with us. Their frustration comes from the simple fact that we don't share the rivalry with them....even though they are pushing for one.
Heck, they want and seemingly need a rivalry with someone, but can't seem to get anyone's attention in the CCHA.

They're a good bunch of folks, these UNO fans. Many are confused at times, however. For instance, they think they are insulting our teams by calling them "tootsie rolls". That is actually a compliment and means we just scored a touchdown.

I believe their use of "hick" is a simple term of endearment. Like when I get together with my friends, we're always calling eachother "cracker" and "honkis."

Oh, you get the isolated fan who is just out of their mind hateful towards a school, but overall, they are a good bunch of chaps.

Well I'm glad most of them can be reasonable, and upon closer inspection that borkeback reference is even better. As far as 'Honki' and 'Cracker' go, who doesn't do that?
