Josh Boyd out of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League. Played in 54 games and scored 25 goals and 32 assists for 57 points. He's the leading scorer on his team and garnered MVP awards this year. I don't know much about the MJHL. His team finished 4th and with 57 points he wasn't even listed in the the league's top scorers so this is a tough one to judge. By the comments I've seen on their website, though, it looks like he has some good leadership skills.

Re: New Recruit
I'm not sure how talented that league is, but anytime you score more points than the amount of games you've played, I'd consider that to be a pretty good season.BGFan wrote:Josh Boyd out of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League. Another new recruit. Brett Molnar from the OPJHL. Looks like a VERY physical player. In 48 games he has 76 points with 31 goals and 45 assists as well as 108 PIM. He's the leading scorer on the team.

He's tied for 8th place in the league in scoring. The OPJHL has 8 divisions with 36 teams. 8th in scoring in a league of that size is a hell of an accomplishment.

VERY aggressive player with those penalty minutes. I like that. He's not afraid to 'get at 'em'.BGFan wrote:Another new recruit. Brett Molnar from the OPJHL. Looks like a VERY physical player. With that said, however, we have had some penalty issues at times this year.

BGFan,
Thanks for the up dates. See what happens when I do not check
http://members.aol.com/cheisenber/Recruit06.htm hourly or daily.
Both guys look good hard nosed players. I wonder what Paul Shaheen at ROI will have to say about Boyd and Molnar.
Now Ron has to find another goalie.
2 atta boys Ron!

OPJHL seems to be heavily recruited out east. Lot of Hockey East and ECACHL teams seem to have players coming out of that league. MJHL doesn't seem to have much going straight to D1. Maybe we're on to something here.....Puckhead wrote:BGFan,
