Where did you hear that they weren't playing? I am 99.9999999% sure that that is untrue.....

He's talking about basketball. They didn't play last year cause they weren't going to get that much playing time. They didn't want to spend time on basketball and just sit the bench when they could be preparing for football.

Both are legitimate NFL prospects as well and I can only assume with reasonable assurance that they will not be playing this year as they will be preparing for the Indianapolis Combine. Both players would provide great practice partners and push our guards, but they deserve the opportunity to secure a future for themselves as well.

Exactly. They filled in the year before during a true emergency, but absent that, they need to be preparing for football, which is a year-round job.

Agree that they should be concentrating on football.

Unfortunately if Wright were to leave (which it now sounds as though he's staying) Cole would be our #1 option at PG.

That is a sad testament on the state of BG hoops.

BG Hoops has been dying lately. BUt we have some good young players like Austin Montgomery coming up. We could turn things around

Thank you for contributing to the board Austin! You're a welcome addition to AZZ!

Are you serious? Give me a break! We do have good young talent that bodes well for the optimism that I have, but I don't believe Montgomery is the source of it.

Yeah, I guess he would be talking about basketball in the hoops forum. I thought I had clicked on the football one and that was the first post I saw. Oh well!
