dont encourage the negative posts...what are you nuts...
I like to think I live in the real world and not Pollyana. Some people find it therapeutic to vent and share frustration with others. If we can't handle negative posts, we may as well shut down the men's hoops forum for the next 12 months.
All in favor?

In all reality, I wish people would do more THINKING and less FEELING. Somehow and at some time, our society began to regard sporting contests and their outcomes on a PERSONAL level. A loss is regarded as a personal reflection on the individual as well as a particular group. Thus, you have the sort of reaction on this board we have been enjoying for the past several weeks.

It's tiring and moderating the hoops board anymore is like pissing on a forest fire. There is beauty in pragmatic thought and engaging DISCUSSIONS.

Carry on. Now everyone may continue with their complaints of vaginal discomfort.

not relevant?

The fact that Toledo ended our season in both football and basketball is neither constructive nor relevent to...well...anything
How is getting embarrassed in the conference tournament and choking away a bowl bid at home both to our arch rival not relevant? UT is owning us in big games in basketball and football. I'd say that is both very troubling and pretty relevant.

RUIT,

Actually, I think there has been a lot of discussion out here. It's just that it's been about some very negative topics driven by real circumstances. A lot of pissing and moaning has been mixed in, but you're gonna have that.

I've been lurking on some other MAC hoops boards. I'm floored by how much more activity there seems to be here than on boards like OU's, TU's, and Miami's. Telling, that. You moderators have your hands full. Maybe you should consider billing Grant on an hourly basis. :)

There has been a lot of discussion...but many of those discussion slipped quickly into a "You're nuts. No, YOU'RE nuts. No YOU'RE nuts. etc." It's great to have discussions and disagreement. I support that activity...but only when performed in a civil manner - which has been sorely lacking on this board for the last several weeks. Again, there's a lot of passion for BG sports. Passion with varying degrees of discipline.

The BG board is more active than other fan's boards. It's a hazard of popularity, I suppose.

I'd much rather have that than a discussion that slips quickly into "Your nuts. No, YOUR nuts. No YOUR nuts. etc."

Agreed that majority of posts are negative, but you are always going to have the glass half empty folks. Caring is the most important thing!

Losing to the archrival Rockettes will bring that out of many passionate BG fans.
