Ladies Win 68-44!!!!!

Post by Falconboy »

The web feed thing was glitchy here and there but was able to watch it and that was good. Great job by the ladies on pullling away from rockettes early on in the 2nd half.

Let's cheer for Delaware to beat James Madison today (anything to help that RPI just in case, though I don't think we need it!)

This was a typical game for the lady falcons. The defensive pressure never really let up during this one. After Toledo got some baskets off turnovers to make it 15-13, we really buckled down. The Rockettes really struggled to hit anything from outside, forcing them to go inside, where no team can beat our disruptive nature which = turnovers galore. They must have had 10-15 turnovers in that first half, which we finished up on a 24-11 run. Offensively, they had no answer for our big girls. Liz made some big shots from deep and played well inside throughout much of the game, and Amber was huge off the bench, scoring in double figures. Once we were able to feed it down to Amber, she was almost guaranteed to score. Ali played very well as usual, and Kate was dynamic for the offense. I saw her get decked to the floor in the first two minutes and she had to come out, but was back out there by the 12 minute media timeout, and she made some passes today that I swear should have been knocked away or stolen, but ended up in the hands of Amber or Ali down low for easy baskets. The whole team clicked today, and we are now just 40 minutes away from winning it all in the MAC. Can somebody tell me how many straight MAC games we have won now?! It has to be at least 21 straight.

Now I'm REALLY beginning to think that losing to Kent tomorrow may not be the worst thing for us in terms of seeding for NC's. I'm worried that we are going to draw a 9 and have to play a 1 in the second round, and if we lose, we'll be back around a 12 and have an easy road to the round of 16. Then again, some would play devil's advocate and say that we would get snubbed entirely from NC's, something I find impossible at this point. Oh well, I don't want to lose anyway, we've come this far, its time to finish the job. I'm looking forward to a heck of a game tomorrow.

YAY @ Kent for beating EMU

BG just flat out kicked UT's butt....it was beautiful. Even though the officiating was somewhat one sided and not in BG's favor.

At any rate, UT never had a prayer....BG came out on a seek and destroy mission.

I don't see us losing today to Kent State. The Golden Flashes played a great second half yesterday but BG is a team of destiny and will repeat as MAC Tourney Champs. All 4 Freaks will be making the trip up today!

GO FALCONS!!!!
