Bah, it's nothing.
You were on the right track, I'm just a little smarter than you.

Someone in the chat room said they were guessing around $30, but I still don't know.
For single session tickets (two games), tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for students. $40/$30 for all-session (6 games) tickets, which would include two games from the Alb... New Mexico regional and then the winners playing each other on Tuesday night.

BG plays at approx 2:30 Sunday, they're the second game of the day.

*************************
Ticket Information: Full-session (all six games) ticket prices are $40 for adults and $30 for students. Single-session (two games) ticket prices are $15 for adults and $12 for students. All fans, regardless of age, must have a ticket to enter Mackey Arena. Tickets may be purchased though the Purdue Athletic Ticket Office by calling (800) 497-7678 or (765) 494-3194.

The eight-team, six-game format consists of three sessions, with doors opening one hour before tipoff of the first game of each session. After the first two-game session Sunday, Mackey Arena will be cleared for the evening session.

Would you recommend buying them in advance, or walking up?

I'd definitely think about buying them beforehand. They'll probably have a block set aside through BG (though no word yet on the official athletic site) so you could get in with BG folks, but if you don't go that route, you're gonna be fighting Purdue fans for the same session tickets. Don't know if it'll sell out, but I'm sure it will sell enough to take the prime GA seats out of play. If you planned on staying through a possible Tuesday game, I'd even think about buying tickets for that session, too. Worst case scenario, UCLA gets lucky and wins  , and you can sell 'em to a school that's still alive (which would include the Purdue game's winner as well as two schools from the "Paul Krebs Memorial Regional" playing there as well.)

Ok - so if I want to be able to see both BG games in Indiana, provided they play twice, what do I need to buy? I'm new to buying tickets for basketball games. I usually show up and get in for free. :)

I've got a bar tab the length of someone's....arm and two 4:45am bedtimes this past weekend worth of evidence of stuff to do in Indiana.

Oh yeah, for you folks "of age" making the trip the night before... last call is 3am or beyond (at least it is in Indy, I'm sure it's probably statewide, especially in a college town.)

From the looks of things, you'd want the Sunday session and the Tuesday session. As I said a bit ago, I'd check with BG first to see if they're selling tickets on their end, and if nothing else, I'm sure explaining to the ticket folks at Purdue that you care about BG and no others, they'll be able to help out.

Oh, don't worry; the band will definitely be there. I love being able to go to all these games for free. :woohoo:

Coach speaks

Post by TG1996 »

This just showed up on the AP wire (at the bottom of a story about OSU in the tourney :x ), Coach Miller's take on the draw:

"I was excited, especially about the location," coach Curt Miller said. "Our fans have been tremendous, and what a following we had in Cleveland (for the MAC Tournament). Now, we get a bus trip to West Lafayette. ... We couldn't be happier."

EDIT:
More information from the BG side of things on the official athletic site:
http://bgsufalcons.collegesports.com/sp ... 06aad.html

Nothing on tickets yet, I'd assume that information will come out later tonight or tomorrow, hopefully with information about package/trip deals.

At first I was perturbed with our 12th seed, another sign of BG disrespect. But playing a 4 and 5 seed is better than being a 7 seed and playing a 10 and 2 to get to the sweet 16. The women have a chance to help fix a rather hapless year in Falcon sports. Best of luck ladies!
