Larranaga to UC?

Was reading the UC board and they are worried about UC hiring Jimmy L.

I sure hope he is hired. Was sitting in the Raleigh-Durham airport Sunday watching GM come back from an early beatdown and must have heard 25 whistles from Larranaga in 5 mintues of play. The whole variety.

I'm thinking he is keeping a close eye on the situation in Charlottesville, VA. IMO, this is the position that he covets.

If Larranaga is going to wait for the Virginia job, then he’s going to have to wait awhile. UVa just hired Dave Leitao from DePaul this past season, this was his first year at Virginia. UVa also just bought out the remainder of Pete Gillen’s contract and then hired Leitao. Leitao took a team that was picked to finish dead last in the 12-team ACC and led them to a seventh place finish, guided then to several Top-25 victories and also led the 'Hoos to an NIT berth. UVa basically returns everyone next season and will be playing in a fantastic, brand new arena next season. Leitao’s not going anywhere anytime soon.

Well no more need for Bearcat fans to get their panties in a bunch worrying about hiring Larranaga. UC hired Former Murray state coach Cronin.
