That's why Scott Bailes will always be one of my all-time favorite Cleveland Indians.Goose wrote:When I was a six years old in Kansas City, my Mom took me to the mall to get Dennis Leonard's autograph. A simple little autograph and ten seconds of conversation from some obscure Royals pitcher made my day. I am sure those kids were excited that an NBA starter from their hometown team was at their school signing autographs.
And for the record, a guy like Chauncey Billups has made a good living being an NBA journeyman.

Thanks.
You are owed a great deal of respect for making this site and your constant and consistent loyalty to falcon hoops. I do not wish to bring that down in anyway. I was just trying to point out something that happened to be the negative or the devil's advocate response to the picture. I try to offset the rainbows and moonbeams that float around here and maybe I do it a little too much.
I have been in situatiosn where athletes were signing autographs around me adn I had no idea who they were and I have always wondered how the athletes deal with that. So I commented on it here. Again, I apologize.

Smile and sign the autograph. You never know when it might make some little kids day. This comes from myself being asked for autographs. I know I'll never be famous but the little kid always walks away with a smile on his face.Germainfitch1 wrote: I have been in situatiosn where athletes were signing autographs around me adn I had no idea who they were and I have always wondered how the athletes deal with that. Sorry, I forgot you are always right. But realize you don't know me and have no idea what I've said off these boards. Ask Hammb, Option or TG for my opinion on the team going 20-9. It's called putting a postive opinion out there for once...like these forums were made for. Don't be such a douche next time and think before you try to direct your unwanted and uncouth humor at me.

I'll vouch that Metz is not nearly as cheerful in person as he is on these boards...in fact he can be an outright doucheMetz wrote:And?Germainfitch1 wrote:Metz only 11 ore wins this season to reach 20.

I didn't know we weren't supposed to be truthful on these boards!! Here I am giving my honest opinions about everything!! I think we are gonna go undefeated next year, with a national championship to cap off a terrific season!! We will have a 12 way tie for MAC player of the year, with all of our guys sharing the award! Dakich is the national coach of the year, and we beat Duke in the finals, pitching the sixth shutout in NCAA tournament history, the first 5 being our road to the title! Also we will be the first team to make every shot we take for an entire season! Just being postive guys!Metz wrote:And?Germainfitch1 wrote:Metz only 11 ore wins this season to reach 20.

Never said I lied...I said I put my positive opinion out there. You all can do the same. My realistic opinion doesn't always have to be the same. When are you and fitch tying the knot?commonsense wrote:I didn't know we weren't supposed to be truthful on these boards!! Here I am giving my honest opinions about everything!! "Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

As a kid I once went down to the Orioles dugout to get Robin Roberts' autograph. Some guy told me he'd get it and went down to where Roberts was. When he came back the guy I didn't know had signed as well. Went back to my dad complaining that some guy named Brooks Robinson messed up my scorecard. Ya never know...
