Not a good showing by the CCHA so far. Michigoon down, MU got shut out and UNO got demolished.

It didn't help that MU was basically playing on the road as a higher seed.

Egg Suckers are the final hope for a good showing.

I can't believe Holy Cross beat Minnesota. So much for WCHA domination.

.....seriously though....hope they do well....really, really I do....

Huge, huge upset with Holy Cross beating Minnesota. That was a shocker. I'm glad to see michigan done. Miami just got absolutely smoked. And the spartans just sneaked by UNH. The CCHA has not made a good showing.

I can't believe I hadn't thought of it, or moreso that it had yet to be mentioned (as far as I've noticed), but while we're all worried about which CCHA team it was okay to root for, why not Boston College?

I think it would be great for Coach York to get another title, especially with everything he's been through this past year.

Yeah of the 4 teams left I'm rooting for BC. It's a team we played this year and in our barn so it would be cool to say I got to watch the National Champs in person earlier in the year. Should be a great frozen four!

Ok, I promised a report but to be honest, there's not much to say.

UNO looked good in the first period and fell apart after that. In a way it didn't surprise me because that often happens to first-time teams. Losing Parse late in the game just added injury to insult. I didn't think they'd lose the game 9-2... I thought that was the score Holy Cross would lose to Minnesota by (and never in my life have I been so gleeful to be wrong about a game than I was about the Minnesota/Holy Cross game).

The Miami/BC game was a lot more competitive than the score would indicate. Miami dominated the first but couldn't solve Cory Schneider. It's a problem several other teams have had this season. After that they didn't play bad, but seemed to lose their focus and their transition game wasn't working as well as I would have liked to see.

I was in the stands for that game and several people around me thought Blasi was insane for pulling the goalie with 10 mins left. I applauded the move: I thought it was ballsy. The other people were like "But BC might score" (which they did, twice). I said, "What difference does that make? Miami's down 3-0 with 10 mins left in their season. They've got to try something and if they can set up their power play, this might pay off." It didn't, but you see my point.

People in general (fans, media) were incredibly ignorant of Miami and UNO as teams, of their personnel, their style of play, and of the CCHA in general. I say this after spending three days listening to questions and comments from both media and fans. There's nothing specific that I care to repeat, but it was disappointing on the whole.
