Honestly, I think we as fans, and all members of the conference need to start putting some serious pressure on the MAC to get our schedules out earlier. Oh, and not buy any of this "well, our membership has been changing" or "we're wainting to see what is going to be best for TV coverage" garbage. The fact of the matter is that if we want alumni of our conference to come to games, we really need to give them more than three months notice, if only out of respect. Also, it would give university marketing people much more time to come up with [potentially] more effective marketing campaigns. This is getting ridiculous.
In fact, I may head over to MACbbs and start ruffling some feathers (pun intended) over there...

I'm not saying that. I'm just saying that it would reflect much better on our conference, especially when we are trying to get more bowl tie-ins and, essentially, trying to show the rest of the college football world that we are an important part of it if we extended the same courtesy to our fans that many of the "BCS" conferences do. It really doesn't seem like too much to ask, in my opinion.orangeandbrown wrote:So, people are making plans for October already? Relax.

I think it would be MORE of a problem if they released the schedule in February, worked ESPN really hard to get games on TV then had to "move" games in March or May or whenever.
I have no problem if they hold out on releasing the schedule if it means they are working to do one or both of the following:
1. Get Games on TV
2. Get MAC teams games with big-time opponnents (see current MAC-Big 10 deal)

What is the MAC waiting for? Don't they always have the same schedule of games the last week of the season anyway? (Kent v Akron, BG v Toledo, Miami v Ohio, etc). They wouldn't have to worry so much about TV if they just got their flippin schedule out already.PGY Tiercel wrote:3/4 OOC games have been set in regards to dates (not sure about times). For MAC play we know who we will be playing and whether it will be home or away. Dates and times for the MAC home games has not been set.
I know that OOC we are playing Wisconsin, Ohio State, and Florida International, with the 4th game likely stalemated between BG and Temple over whether the game will be played in BG or Philadelphia.
On the contrary, they are likely trying to get as many TV games as possible and are trying to accomodate ESPN to that end.bgsufalcon24 wrote:They wouldn't have to worry so much about TV if they just got their flippin schedule out already.
As for our fourth OOC game, count on the Falcons playing down the road from yours truly against the Owls. Looking forward to two regular season games!
