Jordan Sigalet/Bauer poster

Post by falcons86 »

Does anyone know how to possibly get ahold of one of those Bauer posters that featured Jordan sitting on the ice in his Falcon uniform. I'm assuming they were done around his Junior or Senior year. There is one framed in Dibenedetto's (sp?) if anyone wants to see what they look like. My wife and I would absolutely love to get one of those to put in our den. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know but I'd love to have a poster too... DiBenedettos has one in their restaurant on Wooster here in BG... I'll try and remember to ask how/where they got it the next time I grab a meal there - Jordan probably just gave it to them

If I'm not mistaken, isn't that restaurant a sponsor for the hockey team?

Come to think of it, I think they are. And for the record, Jordan is wearing a Bauer practice jersey, not a Falcon jersey. Duh! Hence the poster for Bauer. Very, Very cool poster. If you've never seen it, get on over to Dibenedetto's on Wooster and check it out. While you're there, get something to eat, they have the best subs around!

If it is the one for the MS weekend that he did last year, Jordan created it himself just for that weekend. You would have to contact him to find out how to get one made.

While I may agree that the poster is cool, I must disagree about the "Best subs around." May I offer the following suggestions.

Jimmy Johns
Grinders

Now, if they would only build a White Castle in BG.....

Don't EVER dis-respect DiBenedetto's subs on here again... got that??

That's the only thing I'd consider banning someone over.... ;-)

Oooh... you've earned the ire of Grant.

I'm probably some sort of anomally, but I never ate at DiBenedettos in my four years at BG. I never even ate anything from there that was delivered/catered or whatever.

Of the places I did eat subs from, my vote goes to Mr. Spots. To bring this back to hockey, Mr. Spots will deliver to the press box at the Ice Arena right before games! And they had Dr. Pepper, always a bonus.

Whenever my wife and I get to BG, we usually find our way to Diben's (as we like to call it). Jimmy Johns are good, but in my humble opinion, Dibenedetto's has everybody covered. McConvey, good grief man, you must have led a sheltered life at BG! Never ate at Dibenedetto's!!! But then again, I never ate at Mr. Spots, so I guess we're even. :) As far as the poster Fanatic, I'm not sure. I'm pretty sure it was a poster for Bauer hockey equipment. Oh good grief, now I'm gonna have to drive back to BG, go to Dibenedetto's, check out the poster again, and eat another sub! This is not going good for my waistline! Actually, I could probably hit there after the Hockey Banquet on Saturday, what a grand idea! :)

I wouldn't be surprised if the restaurant supported the MS night last year and got the poster as a gift.

I volunteered for that job while I was delivering pizzas in town. Bartt Davis wanted a pie at the second intermission, so we worked out a deal to get him one in exchange for a mention. It was kind of shitty to have to work through the IA in a pizza guy uniform, but I could usually stretch it out long enough to catch some of the game and BS with friends in the press box. :D

I was just talking to my wife and we have come to the conclusion, with the help of Falcon Fanatic, that it was for the MS Awareness weekend, and that Jordan probably did give it to them as a gift. Oh well, it is a very nice poster of an outstanding young man. And, it gives me more reasons to keep going to Dibenedetto's (as if I needed anymore) :)

Next time you are there, check it out and see if it is for the Western Michigan games (I think that was the ones) with the MS Awareness information all over it. Jordan is sitting down on the ice, up against the boards, looking totally beat. He made three of the big posters for the event and a few smaller versions. One of them went to the MS Society and the other two were auctioned off. We had one of the big ones this year when we did our MS Awareness night. The MS Society brought it so we could use it that night. It was an awesome poster. He didn't plan on auctioning them off at his event, but people kept asking about it, so he said to go for it...and we did!!! Fantasic fund raiser all around!!

That picture was on Jordan's personal webpage, which used to be on the BG Digital Arts site. Don't know why, but his is no longer there, though other alums' are.

It's not his site he did for class, but I did find this...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jordan_Sigalet

Edit: My guess on why his site from class is no longer there is because the university deleted his account. They delete everyone's accounts, dammit (I liked mine. As much as I complained about it being unreliable, which it was, it was infinitely better than UML's system).
