I was wondering about that too. Why white? I've always seen I-beams primerd in... well, primer color.

Maybe the white is so they stand out better for the camera. (or so the planes see them)

I can only imagine how excited all of you long time BGSU fans are to see the steel going up.

Welcome aboard! Is Big Bird flying in to kick in the Spring Game? :D

By the way, when you use "MI" around these parts, people are gonna think Michigan, not Merritt Island. ;-)

Right you are Warthog. Thanks for clearing that up for me. Looks like I need to go get that morning cup of coffee.

Actually, looking at some of the conceptual elevations of the project, it looks like there are exposed I-beams in some of the large open areas... probably having them painted now saves a step later.

Hopefully the storm that passed through Chicago doesn't do any damage this morning. Quite windy here, 45 mph at times.

I agree. That end looks like it is pretty much wide open on the inside and these beams would be exposed. Wonder as they move West if they will use different colored beams?

right you are flipper. I was on teh bus this morning over by the satadium to see how things are going and it looks like they have part of the slanted roof that Sebo is supposed to show off when it is done. There were a lot of parents and potential future BGSU students, marvelling at the building and i was impressed that some of the kids were telling their parenst that is was teh sebo center, like they actually knew what was going up, and they knew alot about it too! It was great to see and listen to!!!

Heh. I transferred to BG in Spring of '02 and lived in Anderson. I had a 9 AM class in Math Science that semester and I learned very quickly not to shave in the morning. :-D

I have to tell you, even from across the country, it is so exciting to watch this building go up!

I've done that exact walk many times this year. It's not fun, especially when you are facing the wind on those cold winter days. Luckily for us we didn't have that bad a winter this year and those days (which Svillefalcon and I refer to as TFC for too ****ing cold) were few and far between.

Having survived the winter of '78 in Kohl Hall, I'm having a lot of trouble finding any sympathy for any of you. :smt069

Was that back when there were hills both ways to and from the dorm, you had no shoes and you always had to be alert for Pteredactyl attacks?
