QB Anthony Turner, Bowling Green. The one constant in BG's success the past five seasons has been coach Gregg Brandon's tutelage of quarterbacks. Even when Urban Meyer was in town and Brandon was the offensive coordinator, it was Brandon's work with Josh Harris and Omar Jacobs that made the offense go. Turner isn't as physically gifted as his predecessors, but he has a firm grasp of Brandon's offense and will thrive for a team good enough to win a spot in the fifth BCS game.
That's all there is to say about BG, but here's the site:

Wow. Good enough to win a spot in the fifth BCS game? I like optimism and all, but I'll be happy with a MACC appearance and 4 losses. A couple other things -- Turner is as physically gifted as J5, maybe more so. He has also not shown he has a firm grasp of the offense because he was not given that opportunity as the playbook was dumbed way down for him.

Did this guy just BS the whole thing? I really hate when "journalists" talk out of their ass with no clear grasp of the reality of a situation. [/rant]

Yeah, the BCS comment made me go "Wh-What?!"

Hell, I'll be happy with a MAC East champion.

We lost 11 starters (13 if you count the kickers). I'll take 7-5 or 8-4 with a split against UT, Miami, OU and Akron....

Agree Flipper. I think this year is a year away (at best) from really kicking butt again.

I agree with all that was said. Had he wrote exactly the opposite of the article he wrote I think it would have been more accurate.

A little editing:

"QB Anthony Turner, Bowling Green. Turner is as physically gifted as his predecessors, but he does not have a firm grasp of Brandon's offense and will thrive for a team that may be good enough to win a spot in the fifth BCS game next year.

That's my line of thinking as well. Along with the MAC East title.

Welcome back Freak!!!

We'll be "down" next year, I'd expect, but "bad"?? I'd say we'll be good enough to beat the teams we should, and be in the rest. And as long as Miami(OH) brings the same punter/long snapper combo to the Doyt, we'll be fine in that one.
