Dan Macon

Pretty good article in today's Blade about him, and how he thinks the Wisconsin game is going to be one of the best days of his life. Brandon says in the article that he's about the fastest player on the team. Does anybody know how fast he can run the 40?

No idea what his 40 time is, but he is pretty quick for a good-sized running back. He broke off a long run in the spring game two years ago that made you say "wow". He went right past everyone. I hope he has a good season. He deserves it after having to wait his turn behind PJ and BJ.

If he produces at RB, that eliminates one big graduation hole on the offense, and with AT, we're going to need that option/run spread more than with Omar.

Macon ran right by us on the sidelines on that run and his knees were hitting his shoulder pads. This kid can flat out R U N and I am pumped to see him in the backfield this year...and only a JR.

Spring Game in 21 days...153 days til the real thing in CTown.

Uh.....actually this is unfortuanatly Macon's last year. Its sad that he got his eligibility used up so much and won't get to really play for more than one year.

Falconboy,
Do you ever actually READ anything? If you know anything about Dan Macon (who happens to be from my hometown), then you'd know he was REDSHIRTED last year, in what would've been his normal Jr. year. The feeling was, as IS INDICATED WELL in the Blade article, that he wouldn't get enough PT with PJ and BJ both being Srs.....Bobby Thomas, from Warrensville, stepped in after PJ got hurt, in order to save Macon's redshirt. :x

I know he has been clocked in the 4.3 4.4 range...

Talking to players, they say he was the fastest player on the team last year without question...
