Actually, there were THREE drum majors that year- David, Eddie and Tom Chiera.
And yes, Eddie and David dated for awhile but were broken up before the start of the marching season. And I can say that with absolute certainty because David and I were really close while he was at BG. I don't see what that has to do with anything though- they conducted themselves very professionally throughout the season.
The real drama in that little trio had absolutely nothing to do with Eddie.

I knew I should have blown off the birth of my daughter to get to homecoming in 2001. Sounds like I missed out on some serious DM bashing!*
As irony would have it, Delaine and I did NOT carry ourselves in a professional manner and we never dated.
*It's a kindred spirit thing.

agreed about Tom....and acting professionaly is boring....especially when applied to a situation outside of....... a profession!
As for acting in a manner becoming of a band member...even I did that at performances....it was mostly outside of band functions that I had a problem with (pool incident excluded)!
For instance....after band practice, if I yell 'Hey carlson you dipsh!t' out of my window as I drive by and Band Director A happens to hear it (real accusation)....that is not applicable in anyway to band...imho....but of course...there are people who make band seem like the presidency of the united states and therefore you breathe sleep eat and drink FMB (an organization that one pays to be a member of!)

Ya know...you can't really say whether or not this will be a b***h and moan season like it was last year until we know who gets the leadership spots. I know that a lot of the complants I heard were directed towards leadership and how several just weren't doing their job. Hopefully the people that get choosen will do their job correctly. If not, it's going to be a long season...
