It looks like there's been a bit of a delay in the main construction, maybe they got done with one section, had a beam in backwards and a handful of extra screws, so today's press conference is just to let the public know what a pain in the ass Sauder products are, and that they're going to have to take part of it down and try again?

This morning, WFOB said that a former Falcon Football player, who was an All-American, would be making a big donation announcement at 3:30 this afternoon in the Ice Arena Alumni lounge.
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Exciting news to hear standout alumni giving back, much like the hockey renovation campaign.

Could this just be an "official" announcement of Dave Preston or Mike Weger's gift? Or is it one of the other 12 or so All-Americans?

The "band" hint leads me to believe it might be Weger, with the "Paper Lion" AZZ thing going on. I was about ready to guess musician Paul Myles, but he was never an All-American, so I'm sticking with Weger as my guess.

Though it would be damn cool to get Bernie Casey on board, but save that for a halftime presentation next fall, when I'm at the game.

It's Mike Wegers donation announcement. This was broke on at least one of the evening newscasts in Toledo last night.

An awesome gesture, for sure! I had forgotten about his dad and the band, which makes it extra cool!

I was so excited to hear this. Thank you to the Wegers for the contribution. I'm especially excited to see the area for the FMB. This family has done so much for the University and I'm estatic that they are continuing to give back to BGSU.

Alright in a more realistic opener...what are the chances of having a good non-con opponent at the Sebo/Doyt for that....like oh say Minn
