Softball loses to MSU

BG softball lost to Michigan State today 2-1. MSU is coached by former Falcon coach Jacquie Joseph. They are currently 6-0 in the Big Ten.

Reading the game summary, looks like a couple errors in the 3rd inning proved very costly to the Falcons.

Hayley Wiemer threw a complete game 3 hitter against the Spartans, the best hitting team in the Big 10, and did not allow an earned run....damn. Gotta feel for her.

She also doubled in BG's lone run as the Falcons outhit MSU 6-3. This is a game BG should have won.
Wiemer is only a freshman and has had an impressive season to date.

BG jumps back into league action with a DH at Ball State Friday and single games Saturday and Sunday at Miami. BG is now 23-15, 6-2 MAC...still tied for the East lead. MSU improved to 28-11.

I've seen Weimer play when she was at SUA in Toledo. She is a gem, very very good pitcher.
