Can someone tell me why Larry Hunter from Western Carolina is able to come in and snatch Ricky Jackson from Canton McKinley along with a couple of kids from South Webster and Dakich doesn't give these players sniff?

He probably still has numerous ties left from his days coaching at OU. (same guy, right?)

I don't keep track of Ohio HS bball, but is this Jackson kid or the ones from South Webster a significant signing? Or is it just shocking to some that someone from out of state is picking Ohio talent from under our (and the rest of the MAC's, as jaco pointed out) noses?

I saw Ricky play against Mayo and Walker at NCH. I would say this is a significant signing. Ricky was an important part of what may be the best team in McKinley history. And if you know much about McKinley basketball history, that is saying ALOT.

The South Webster kids steamrolled just about everyone on their schedule, and my though is if they're good enough for Hunter to come up here to go after, they'd have been worth a talk from BG.

Ricky Jackson is a big time signing for Western Carolina as is the Aldridge kid from South Webster. The other player from South Webster was seen as a nice get, but has at least according to the parent-riddled JJHuddle site "limited D1 potential."

I have absolutely no idea what we're getting, but Chipola is a very good basketball school.

Reading the outlaws' Dayton Daily News this morning, I found a name that looked familiar. Dan Penick, the Kentucky guy we were after for sometime has renounced his verbal to Wright State after Biancardi was fired and will be signing with Morehead State soon.

Thought some people might find that interesting.
