Dang, is DD still getting paid 125,000? Should DD leave and we get a new HC we're gonna have to up our payment of coaches to keep them here if we get a good one.

$135,000 in BG can go a long way. That's the equivalent of making $250,000 in Chicago, according to 'The Salary Calculator'.

I don't think the $135,000 includes things like shoe and apparel contracts, camp income, community advertising, speaking engagements, etc. A coach can make at least double his published income in other income opportunites as a D1 coach.

Almar Lanes has to be paying DD a small fortune to lie throught his teeth about the "best burgers in town."

No doubt. I ate there once this past year. I wasn't honestly expecting the best burger in BG, but figured what the hell, I'll try one. I gotta say I was NOT impressed one bit. That being said, I'm not sure there is a hamburger in BG that is really any better than a Whopper from the BK Lounge...still the Al Mar Lanes ones hardly fit the bill.

BG's got great food but there really isn't a great burger in town that I can think of...The TouchDown burger from Kaufman's at the Lodge used to qualify, but since it's no longer around...

Not trying to defend Al-Mar or anything, but I think they have a new manager/cook for CJ's. The guy used to manage the Outback Steakhouse in Maumee. So it may be time to give it another shot. I think they did a special dinner of Prime Rib or something last Friday or so.

At the rate the MAC coaches are paid, I have to say that Charlie Coles is an absolute steal. I have always been impressed with what he is able to do at Miami. The coach at CMU should have to refund some of his salary. Can some one who is not at work today break down their salaries per MAC win? I would be interested in the results.

Jed's is the single most overrated bar & grill place in NW Ohio. The Jed's girls are a VERY good reason to go to the Maumee one, but I haven't been to the one in BG in a LONG time. Their burgers have never impressed me, nor has any of their other food. It's not terrible, but some people act as though it's the greatest restaurant in BG. Their wings suck something awful, and their prices are pretty high. The Buy 1 get 1 burger deal is pretty sweet, but I still wouldn't go out of my way for it.

BG just does not have a great burger place.
