A little bit more information about the AD search has come out in today's BGNews.
In terms of a timeline, it is hoped that a new AD would be named by the end of April, when Paul Leaves, but realizing that it might take longer, the begining of summer is the realistic goal

A quick update on the search:
Per the Blade, Chuck Neinas has been hired as a search consultant to help Ribeau and Whipple identify and screen candidates.

Excellent move, IMO. He is a major player in college athletics and is extrodinarily well-connected in the industry. Most recently, he played a role in bringing Oklahoma OC Chuck Long to San Diego State as head coach and has had a hand in numerous big-time AD hires.
Involving Neinas probably extends the time-frame for the hire past April.

This is great to hear. With the personnell we have in place, I have no doubt that things will be run well in Paul's absence until we hire a new AD. It is good to know that the administration is actively seeking the best candidate possible, and as far as I'm concerned, they can take as long as necessary to make that happen.
