Zips threatened in the bottom of the 2nd but Alan Brech struck out 2 straight to end the inning.

Middle of the 8th....BG leads, 4-1. Brech has gone the distance so far giving up 1 run on a solo HR. He has struck out and walked just 1.

Akron just tied the game 4-4...and is still batting in the 8th with 2 outs & men on 1st and 2nd. Tyler Johnson now in to pitch.

4-4 heading to the top of the 9th...never a dull moment with this team.

Damn, BG was up 4-0 and then Akron rallied. With CMU losing and KSU winning, BG really needs to win this game to keep in the hunt.....and because we "should" beat Akron. I hope we can pull it out. My guess is this one might be suspended though.
