I understand that Guerin took a significant vacation away from the team to deal with mono. However, upon returning, as the point guard, he actually had to be told by Pat Phillips where to go with the ball several times and looked completely lost in the halfcourt offense.

Guerin might be athletic from where he came from, but he shows very little D-1 athleticism that makes you say "wow." If he did, we would've given him a scholarship rather than finding wings #45 and #46.

Heh? We're talking about a new freshman playing in his first game immediately after missing the beginning 6 weeks of the season due to mono. OF COURSE he was lost in the offense. Who in hell wouldn't be? How does this even vaguely approach being a valid, meaningful criticism?

This board has become a joke! It appears the basketball program has signed some good players that can help the program and all several of you want to do is take shots at the program and it's players. If you can't stand DD or the current team why waste you time posting on here? Move on to another topic. All of the players DD and staff signed were wanted by other solid programs! AND despite all of our porblems they choose to come here!

Go Falcons!

People are just giving their opinions. Anyone who doesn't like it can move to another topic.

Was Brian Guerin recruited by other solid programs?

It wasn't his first game back and it happened more than once. BTW, is the Kool-Aid still cold?

And you know what opinions are like! The kid is a walk on! I'm talking about all the comments about the kids were giving schloarships to. Oh we got another wing, #45 and #46. The JC kid from FL/IL can handle the ball. This is a solid class several excellant players, the early signee from MI is very good! Has a inside and outside game. This Polk kid could be a steal as well as Knight if he gets his book work in order. Time will tell but lets give it some time.

Yes it was his first game back. He had rejoined the team just a few days before the game, and he was playing mop up time with other guys that never played. And WHAT, exactly, does the Kool-Aid thing have to do with this? I've criticized DD as much as anyone, but I'm fair when I do it.

I have not seen enough of Guerin to have an informed opinion one way or the other. As option said Phillips was telling him wear to be at times in the offense last year, and you cannot have that in a PG, but I can give him a pass due to being out with mono.

Still if you're counting on a walk on and Floyd as your PGs you are in bad shape...that was my original point.

If I remember right Grant you thought it was enough of a joke to shut it down a time or two. I guess the laugh is on me for being here.

All I'm saying is, you're welcome to be here or you're welcome to not be here. If you're here though, why complain about it?

Do you keep going to a restaurant you don't like just to get your fix of feeling like crap?

I think the good outweighs the bad on this site, otherwise I'd just shut it down, or I'd have taken the quick $$$ and sold it.

I wasn't calling anyone out, I was just curious as to the "trend" of so many people "hating the site" (myself included from time to time) but continuing to come back for more.

I see threads as this one as the occasional flogging with barbed wire. One says one hates it but in all actuality that individual finds it quite titillating.
