Fine...
72-4
but your spelling team couldn't spell cat if we spot you the C and the T (my apologies to Terry Bradshaw).
Funny thing is, if OU does actually win...what do you guys have left up there in Booorrring Green?
Sorry...a little levity to fuel yer fires a bit and get you ready for those less than amicable Toledo fans.
BTW...what the hell is up with the playing surface at UT? Is that the same stuff that Philly got rid of a few years back? Looks terrible on TV...almost as bad as OUr football team last weekend.

Heck, when your own fans say you are going to lose by that much, I might as well too!
BG-115
OU-1 (The refs decide to spare OU's dignity of being shutout at homecoming and give them 1 point)

Just pumping hte ego
I actually think the game could be close. Ohio has a chance to go 7-4 if they are successful against the falcons...that is a big deal seeing we were predicted by most to be 2-9 this season.
My BOLD and realistic prediction...
OU 16
BG 13
The homecoming crowd goes to Court St. and well...we choose between one of our 17 or so favorite "establishments".
Actually, that last part happens whatever the outcome of the game.

I guess if we lose, we just have to sit around and brush our teeth here in BG....since we actually have them!!! (unlike all those toothless reds down there in Southwestern Virginia...ah...I mean Athens).
You can call BG boring, but Athens is a dump! Nice school, dump of a town. Athens is as close to West Virginia as say.......West Virginia. A dog won't sleep where it craps and pisses, so I don't know how...well...you get the point.
And why does every OU student try to better up Miami? Just be happy with who you are, if you can. Making fun of Miami, calling them J-Crew U, is that because OU students haven't yet discovered how to even wash clothes let alone wear something that looks half as good? Making fun of Miami students because they drive BMWs? Is driving a rusty truck with a gun rack supposed to be better? Ohio may have been charted first (1804) in Ohio, but you all have been chasing after Miami since 1809. Quit worrying about Miami! I'd be more worried about people thinking of Ohio State when you say Ohio U!
Like you said, just some fuel for the fire?
Now, back to your question. Toledo plays on Nexturf, the mediocre replacement for their terrible old astro turf. Nexturf is not nearly as good as Fieldturf (like what Ohio has), but it is actually better than the old Astro turf they the used to have.....barely.
Oh, and I might not have been able to spell cat either before you posted it, but I could have used it in a sentence. Ohio "cat (can't)" beat BG!

Well, I never...
We have hills....beautiful, autumnal hills. You guys have...well...the equivalent of a junior high girls locker room up there. What is the attraction you guys have with that one bar, construction laiden town?
The West Virginia toothless joke is nice but I must remind you that as a toothless community is concerned, our admission standards are still higher so...you are, in fact, stupid-er than us toothless...nearly West Virgnians.
Of course we make fun of Miami...it's been years and years and years in the making. They went to college to study business, we studied how capitalism rots a democratic society. Sure, they make more money but, you guys are still teachers...what does that say about your choices? (I'm kidding, I teach at OU).
Besides, don't argue for Miami...they don't need any help. They already have that beautiful blond girl thing going on over there...we have...well...we have pit hair.
When all is said and done, we can all agree that nothing is like autumn in our fair town. If you do come, please enjoy the sights...don't rub in the football game...most of OUr students don't know there was a game...besides, it will be 5-6pm and they will probably be lucky to know their names let alone the school they attend. At 6pm, you guys will have about 7 hours of catching up to do...you can probably get there in 45 minutes if you concentrate. Just don't puke orange stuff on that orange sweatshirt...it's not a pretty sight.

You are more than welcome to believe that if you want. Some of us know the truth though....medlerBobcat wrote:...but I must remind you that as a toothless community is concerned, our admission standards are still higher so...

Well, after blowing at against NIU, we are basically playing to beat toledo and give marshall a goodbye present. At this point, if NIU doesnt lose twice, losign to you guys doesnt matter all that much. I think we all do think this is probably the game with the best upset chance this week, but I still say we roll by several TDs.

Throw your stats around all you like, but let's face it, BG hasn't really played anybody outside of Oklahoma. The rest (save for NI) have been bottom feeders, and that pattern will continue until Marshall and UT enter into the picture. And frankly, I'd be worried about OU's defense --- BG will have to play really well to survive this one. In terms of conference strength, the MAC is a disaster this year, so the rankings of the better MAC teams, and in particular, the stats, are suspicious.

I admit, the hills are very nice there in SE Ohio, but it's not like the hills are even a part of Ohio University. Ohio just sits in them, they were there long before OU was. However, what Ohio U. and the town of Athens are a part of is - Athens County...."THE POOREST COUNTY" in the state of Ohio!!! Ohio's first and finest?! I'll say!
I guess those lofty OU admission standards must really be paying dividends then...bringing in all those booksmart kids with good test scores who lack everyday common sense, sticking them in a Godforsaken town in the middle of nowhere for four (or five, or six, or seven) years, wishing they would have gone to a good school like Miami once they get there, spend their college years making fun of Miami to make themselves feel better for making a poor (no pun intended) choice, wishing they had a good football team instead of their Saturday highlight being know for a marching band performance, and wishing people would understand that Ohio U. is not Ohio State when the say where they went to school. Yeah, sounds like a great place to go to school. ::puke::
So, I guess what it all boils down to is, all of us here must have went to BG to become teachers to educate people like you? Maybe. But hopefully BG will end up "teaching" the Bobcats another lesson in "Football 101." You can grade us after the game since it's now also your expertise. But if being there at Ohio is such a great place because it has 30 bars with hills, you can have it.
Look every school has its pluses and minus, no doubt. I'm only getting my digs in because you came on our board taking a couple shots first, we didn't seek out an Ohio board to do the same. We can all exchange words with one another and maybe have a little fun doing it, but what it'll all boil down to is how both teams play on Saturday. No matter how much talking we do, we have no control over the game. May the better team win, which is BG, but will they play the better game? We'll see come Saturday.
Until then, I'll be wearing my Orange and Brown loud and proud, the same color most of those trees are now colored in you proud town! You said it yourself how beautiful it looks, so next time you look at those tree trunks (brown) and leaves (orange and variations of), think of how beautiful those colors can be! Your campus is surrounded by it right now!
