Anybody wondering if Jacobs could drop to UDFA?

Yeah, but I've seen and read and heard that Omar has run a 4.5 too at the combine. Just seeing that 4.8 doesn't do Omar justice in what he is capable of. Brian Calhoun's supposed official time via nfl.com was 4.66 and he's been clocked at 4.29 before. So 40 times can rise and fall with wind really.Metz wrote:Isn't that what Omar ran?BGSUFootballFan wrote:haha 4.8? thats horrible.

Most 40 times are severely inflated. I don't know how many times I've been told a lineman can run a 4.4 out of high school. Those stop watches are tricky tools...

Yeah , I've been told countless times by my OSU buddy that mammoth former Ohio State O-lineman Orlando Pace ran a 4.7 40 at 330lbs. He's also told me that AJ Hawk was a 4.4 guy but I remember hearing or reading that his time was in the 4.7's at the combine.BGDrew wrote:Most 40 times are severely inflated. Hawk ran a time in the 4.45 range his Junior year at the OSU pro day. This year he ran something around 4.55 at the OSU pro day. Both times are much faster than his combine time because of the track. OSU's track is notoriously fast and Indy's is notoriously slow.
