Some love for PJ at Browns board.....

If PJ's 40 time of a 4.49 was right, a few friends told me that wasn't good enough for rbs in the NFL, I was in utter disbelief to say the least.

That guy's backwards. Pope signed with Chicago, Steve Sanders is with the Browns.

Are the "drafted" players really with the Browns or was this a "fantasy" UDFA league special? What's with the assigned point system etc.?falconboy wrote:http://www.nflfans.com/x/showthread.php?t=10222

Or did BGSU give us the wrong info as to which teams our guys commited to?

No, it's right. I've seen them each come through the AP's transaction wire. (Or at least Chuck and PJ, I don't think I've seen the Browns UDFA's posted there yet.)Class of 61 wrote: Or did BGSU give us the wrong info as to which teams our guys commited to?

I'd love to see Pope make the Bears squad, but he won't be a punt returner...hopefully they realize that Pope is a solid player, and they get rid of that no-talent ass clown Cedric Benson...I'm still pissed we wasted our #4 pick on him last year. That kid sucks. We are catching up to the Jets for worst drafters.

That's just my point...I got the impression that THESE were the Browns UDFA's....and the lists are different from each guy, at least one of whom assigned a point total to them.

Well they're not going to get rid of Benson for Pope and they have Thomas Jones starting. There have been trade rumors involving Jones. I don't see P.J. coming in and making an impact right away. I'm assuming if he does make the team he could be playing special teams. Only reason I said punt returner is because they need one. The last guy the Bears had in there couldn't catch a punt to save his life. At the end of last season I think they would have picked someone from the stands to return punts.BGSUVA wrote:I'd love to see Pope make the Bears squad, but he won't be a punt returner...hopefully they realize that Pope is a solid player, and they get rid of that no-talent ass clown Cedric Benson...I'm still pissed we wasted our #4 pick on him last year. Then they should've gone after Cole Magner....we know he's capable of returning punts....good hands....good instincts...but maybe the "other Falcons" will see that this time and keep him around this year.Tricky_Falcon wrote:Well they're not going to get rid of Benson for Pope and they have Thomas Jones starting.
