I disagree with this post completely.Jacobs4Heisman wrote:I seriously doubt we win that game if Williams didn't get hurt. We beat a team in the second half that did not have DeAngelo Williams. That's like saying WMU was awesome last year because they beat a team with Omar Jacobs on it.
I was in Mobile (which doesn't matter, but I'm proud of that), and we were winning that game with DeAngelo at full force. I think we would have won anyway. It just would have been closer.
And, frankly, the way Western Michigan whipped us, I question whether we would have won with a healthy Omar.
Omar is fantastic. But he doesn't play defense.
I would argue we were trading touchdowns with them.Schadenfreude wrote:I disagree with this post completely.Jacobs4Heisman wrote:I seriously doubt we win that game if Williams didn't get hurt. Yeah, we were trading touchdowns and were ahead. Also, we quit throwing the ball in the second half. We were scoring at will prior to that. Clearly, though, with Williams the margin would not have been as comfortable.Warthog wrote:I would argue we were trading touchdowns with them.Schadenfreude wrote:I disagree with this post completely.Jacobs4Heisman wrote:I seriously doubt we win that game if Williams didn't get hurt. I hate to do this, but after reading this post, and realizing that all of us make spelling and/or grammatical errors occasionally, were you DRINKING when you posted this? Please take a few seconds to proofread before you submit.... makes it more enjoyable for those of us who DO like to read other's opinions.....even yours.MACMAN wrote:a farce indeed, just makes me crazy the perveyors of doom and gloom, who feel that with out knowing all the facts can proclaim and then some develop an argument that Bradon is a bad coacha nd leader and that turner and whats his name should have bother recieve equal treatment and more over suspensions.
Personaly I am believe in that off field actions untill they impact a players ability to contribute to the team are seperate free from team rules.
if a player crosses that line then its a problem. its the same to me as any employee, what they do at home i have no controll over, unless it impacts thier job preformance.
oh well the good news is the team is making ready for the upcoming season, a season in which we will do very well.
Education our Challenge, Excellence our goal. (look it up)
