Fine by me! Give the TV cameras something nice (and less "constructioney") to look at, and let the internal work go on in the colder months. ROLL ALONG!

No kidding. Even from a visual standpoint with the construction going on and actually being able to see what is starting to take shape, this endzone area still looks 100 percent better than this past season when we had a giant slab of cement sitting there. That was an eyesore in itself. When the north endzone bleachers came out and then nothing got started on the construction end of things, I was wishing they would have just left the bleachers there until shortly before they were ready to get started on the work. Also, there’s no doubt now from the recruiting end of things that this project is going to get done now that it’s underway. I know before recruits could be shown artist renderings, but talking about renderings and seeing any empty endzone doesn’t have nearly the same impact as actually seeing the construction going on or what will be the eventual finished product. It’s great to see this project unfold.

Say what you want about the university's committment to football, but you cannot deny the following:

Sebo Center
New Railings at base of stands with BG logos
New Sound System
New Scoreboard
New Video Board
Painted Pink Railings
New Handicapped Seating Platforms
Lights
Elevators
New Ticket Booths
New Benches
Revamped Weight Room
Indoor Practice Facility
...and probably much more I am missing.

Even with all those improvements, I'd still like to see something done to turn the Doyt into a majestic beacon of brown, orange, and white hope shining on the campus from the east.
Yeah right girl!

I believe I see the framework for a floor starting to take shape!!!

OK, so they know how to put the sticks in the ground - when are they going to put the windows in?

Weent by today and they were indeed working on the flooring and the brick wall. The structure that we see there now is about 1/2 of the building. Stabalize the first part and then plant more sticks in the ground! It was a beehive of activity!

It's really starting to come together now. Maybe it will block the wind out now and improve our kicking game! Hey it couldn't hurt it could it?

Yes, it kind of looks half done. If they cut it again using opposite diagonals, you'd get a really neat "diamond" effect. The neatest pattern I think I've seen was a couple of World Cups ago, when a pitch was cut using a circular pattern emanating from center field. Really neat.

No need for a pattern until September. They probably just cut it different directions each time to keep the grass healthy. (I think that's how it works, or at least it makes sense to me! :D )
