Cutting the grass at "different" angles helps to strenthen the root system...that way, when we "water down" the field for some games (read UT in a year), the grass will hold in place better.turtle wrote:boy does the field look odd cut that way.

More brick walls today (or maybe yesterday... or the day before... whenever I peeked last, they weren't there)... this time starting to bend around the non-stadium side of the site. (I just realized "front" and "back" are pretty subjective terms here, huh?

Wasn't there some mention of the Sebo being the new "front entrance" to the stadium, or similar comment?

Yeah, there was. So does that mean the front faces the golf course? Or the front is what we're looking at now?Class of 61 wrote:TG,TG1996 wrote:More brick walls today (or maybe yesterday... or the day before... whenever I peeked last, they weren't there)... this time starting to bend around the non-stadium side of the site. Although with that said, I wonder, and I think it was in the plans somewhere, what they're thinking of doing with that front entrance... seems to me there'd be a Stadium Drive repaving in the works, although maybe that'll wait until the baseball/softball/tennis facility is done, to keep heavy trucks off of new pavement. I'd love to see the front of the Sebo building turn into a "plaza" area, but I don't know how practical that is with much of the foot traffic coming through the other end.

Have the builders lost interest in this project? I need good news, and at the moment the only good news = significant DAILY SEBO progress.
This is panning out to be a long summer, sports fans. England has two great chances to win the World Cup, and weeks, no, DAYS, before kick off, they're both on crutches getting high in oxygen tents. What's all that about?
This feels like one of those tunnels where you're running to get to the end, and the end just keeps getting further away. Only one thing is more gut wrenching than being a BGSU football fan, and its being a BGSU football fan AND an England supporter.
As an aside, Ben Roethlisberger was in Switzerland last week, evidently his family harks from the land of the long horn and money men who haven't figured out that the best way to live life is to blow the dosh while you've got it, whoever's it is.

i'm sure they havent but the rain that has been coming down for 7 days probably has slowed things down. I'm not in BG for the summer so not sure if it has been raining all week like it has been in northeast ohio. but hopefullly it all ends soon! i am so excited for the sebo, can't wait to see it finished!Zom wrote:Have the builders lost interest in this project? Yeah it is, and it looks fantastic! I have the link to it in my AIM profile trying to give it some pub.
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!
It's not a roof. It's a temporary covering so the workers don't get sunburned when they start tearing the structure down because there's no funding.Zom wrote:The roof! The roof! They're putting a roof on!!!
