Urban Meyer on SportsCenter

Post by BGSUFootballFan »

Urban Meyer was on SportsCenter today. They are doing that all-acess thing all week long for different college football teams. Today was UF and they showed some good clips of things. They also put up some stats on how he turned Bowling Green and Utah around. Was wondering what you all thought of the piece? I thought it was pretty good, it mentioned they should be better this year because now everyone knows the offense better, but that they have a brutal schedule in the SEC.
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!

"SportsCenter"?? It sounds vaguely familiar. What channel is it on?

(But no, I didn't see the piece on Mrs. Meyer's husband.)

His offense will not take off the way it could until Chris Leak is no longer the QB

I agree...Leak has not developed at all in his time at UF and is no better now than he was as a freshman. They brought in the #1 QB in the country this year (of course, so was Leak), and that kid put up freakish numbers in HS. I wonder if Urban would open up a QB competition?

I think he would, but the people of Gainesville love Chris Leak so I'm guessing you'll see another year of him. I don't the he is that bad, he just isn't a superstar.

Leak's lack of development has surprised me. He was in the Army All-American Game the same year as Brady Quinn and he was light years ahead of Quinn back then.

Why would you ever want to forget who coached for your team? Especially if they put some great seasons!

Leak's development as a quarterback is not the issue. He had to learn an entirely new system last year with all new coaches. That's like starting over. Expect a big difference this year as he is more comfortable with the offense and playing without having to think alot.
