SUPPORT OF TOLEDO FANS

Post by ChicagoFalcon »

Can you believe it...BG fans supporting toledo fans over a minor text i put about toledo calling a toledo fan a ***...if you haven't checked lately...that's a cig in Europe...It got so bad that some crack pot hinted the "N" word in the forum...I'd say that's worse than using a word that's used as a common word in another country...I sometimes have to question the loyalty of BG fans sometimes! Get over it!

you know what...that's why the big schools like OSU don't go the problems like this...could you imagine a Michigan fan posting a comment and a OSU fan supporting that bull comment

Really, let it go. You, I, and everyone here know it was out of line for this board. It's not "support of Toledo fans", it's about being civil. We all probably think about the same of our rivals in general, but this place is so cool because we don't need crap like that. Besides, a good number of the UT fans that come through here are *gulp* decent folk, or at least behave that way while they're here.

Agree 100%. Occassionally we will get a UT student or fan on here talking smack, but the regular UT posters are all very fair in their posts. And besides, if it weren't for a UT fan taking the initiative with the brown jerseys, what the heck would anyone have posted about back in February/March? By the way, Ranger, the jerseys are awesome!!

As I tell people who try to heckle opposing teams "be more creative and witty when trying to put down the other team"

This accomplishes two things, 1. it shows you superior smarts by being creative and 2. it makes people laugh when you come up with something witty and funny.

i understand that. i was surrounded by UT fans at the UT/BG game in 04 and me and friend thought it was going to suck. But we sat there for a while and if it got out of hand it we would move. It was a great experience. There were 2 guys sittin next to us and they kept being witty and funny about what they said about BG. we just had to laugh too. It was fun and that is what makes a good rivalry.

i have to agree with TG, the UT fans are a TON more civil on this board than that idiot from OU...dare i say his name...most of you kno who im talking about. But in all seriousness, i love to bash UT as much as any other falcon fan, but out of all of our rivals that come on this board, they are the most civil, IMO

Calling someone a "***" is a tad childish. I prefer to use more sophisticated terms like "dick" and "homo".

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

A "tad" childish, Flipper? I would say, personally, that calling a Toledo fan a "***" would make someone more than a "tad" queer...

What is all this about? The original "***" was a toadie if you will: a young private school kid who had to look after his senior counterpart's whims. Very equitable, provided you survived to enjoy the view, uh, from the top.

The word mysteriously evolved from the earlier word "******", which describes some kind of food, famously indulged by Queen Elizabeth I, and who's recipe its home nation doesn't even know - something between a meatball and a sausage, except meatballs are better, and, well, England always has problems with Germany in World Cup years. Sadly, faggots never really went "mainstream", despite Elton John's legendary appetite for them.

In the 21st century, "***" still misleads the public with disproportionate consequences. Guatamalan pilots are reportedly bemused that their Air Force has uncontested control of its skies, even in the face of the ominpresent USAF. Omnipresent, that is, except in Central American airspace, where men are men, and pilots are proud to sport *** all over their planes! *** - Fuerza Aerea Guatemalteca, or, the Guatamalan Air Force.

So, you see, I am under no misapprehension whatsoever of the meaning of the word "***", and if ToledoRocket ever wants to bring his gayly decorated aerospace artefact to the Doyt, exquisitely lettered with ***, he is most welcome for sure!

Am I reading a thread on the moral relativism of NAME CALLING?

Oh....my.....God.

Oh my God.

OH MY GOD!

Unbelievable. I was under the assumption that all of the people on this board moved past the third grade not only in educational development but intellectual and emotional maturity as well.
