How so? Really how so? Barnes , no offense is nothing more than a spindley option qb at best. He's nowhere near AT's level of a throwing qb who's nowhere near Omar's throwing ability and accuracy when he' was a rs sophmore. Barnes at probably 6'1 and 180lbs isn't going to do much in the passing game , I'm positive. I'm hoping for the best no doubt. But from what I've seen from Barnes this spring game doesnt' give me much hope. So go ahead and call me a pessimest.

I actually have optomism for the running game. Our rb's are bigger and faster than before and "if" the O-line takes it up a couple of notches more we be okay there. But the passing game will be practicly a thing of the past if we're relying on Barnes for that game. The Passing game will be still an afterthough when AT does return for the next games. Face it guys , the days of 300+ yards passing are officially over. I just hope we can now, start averaging more than 250 rushing a game, cuz thats our best chance.

Because he's never played before. Your comment is as ridiculous as saying he'll throw 4 or 5 touchdowns. There's no basis in your prediction, which you wrote as though it's already a fact.

He may not throw for many yards or have a great completion percentage that day, but why expect a total meltdown?

And that has nothing to do with the intended topic of this thread.

Stay on target.

When was the last time BG threw five INTs in a game?
In the 1995 opener, Ryan Henry threw six -- and damn near beat Louisiana Tech, anyway.

Reading my mind... fortunately, when I thought of that, I decided to let it slide. But dead on, transfer. Dead on. :-D

Fine, go ahead by my frickin' guest. I don't care. I stand by my opinions and thoughts at this time. I'll be more than happy to eat my words this September if Barnes happens to pull a miracle out of his butt. But until that happens I stand by my statements. Anyone who has high expectations of this game with Wisky is just living in a hopefull dreamworld which I actually live in too cuz even I deep down imagine us pullling out the victory somehow, but my realiity based gut says no way. But I degress, continue on with the name calling.

Barnes doesn't have to pull a miracle to make you eat your words. He only has to throw less than 4 interceptions.

The name calling is sarcasm that started via another thread. That's ok though, no one really expected you to understand that without an explicit explanation.

If I remember correctly, Omar had a pretty bad Spring Game before his Sophomore season too.

No Barnes just have to keep us within 20 pts. If he pulls that miracle off I'll kiss the ground walks on ( not really but you get what I mean). Our whole offensive gameplan relies on a very good qb to run it. Teams in the Big10 don't need heisman quality candidates year in and year out at Qb on their roster, but they usually do at RB with powerfull running games. If our O-line is really good and strong enough to elicit that kind of running game then maybe we could compete well enough with Barnes in at Qb. The less Barnes would have to to do the better.
