Joplin gets extension

Post by TG1996 »

Just on the AP wire (I'm sure there's a link somewhere), but UT gave Stan the Man a 3 year extension.

Now lets get in our glass houses and discuss. :-D

Where have you been all this time? I think your mentor  John Harris wrote about that a few months back.

Just going by what the AP reports as "news".

Frankly, they could send a story about my hair being on fire and I'd believe it more than anything Harris spews forth.

Tony G.'s Hair is on Fire

Bleeding Orange, AP Writer

Indianapolis, IN - It was discovered today that Tony's hair was on fire. Unbeknownced to him, Tony's flowing locks were engourged with flame at approximately 7:00 PM, and several video machines in an Indianapolis television station were destroyed as a result of the sparks that spewed forth.

When informed of his flaming hair, Tony's only comment was "Stan Joplin is a douche, but damn does he dress like a player. I can't believe his contract was renewed, but at least we will see another season of uncomfortable head coaching handshakes whenever the Falcon and Rocket ballers meet.

"I just hope that his douchebagosity is enough to underwhelm the Rockets into medicroity for several more years."

Tony's hair fire was stamped out by a group of sympathetic hoboes. Fire fighters are investigating the cause of the fire, but initial assessments of available evidence point to Communists. Tony slipped into a coma due to the burns resulting from his "fuego de pelo," but early reports say that no one has noticed a change in his behavior.

Good effort, but...

A) there are no flowing locks here, and...
B) it's spelled "playa". Stan Joplin dresses like a playa...*

(*-Why anyone would dress like a Spanish beach is beyond me, but don't hate the beach, hate the juego.)

I'll have you know that that was a rather drunken effort, so you'll take any damn spelling I give you. BIATCH!

Oh, and the flowing locks part - well, that was just for added effect, I suppose. :P

They agreed to extend his contract about two months ago, but it wasn't official with all the details until just recently. Mostly because the BOD had to sign off on the deal and they just recently did.
