Nobody has ever heard of The Buckeye/Wolverine Store? I think there are like 3 locations in NW Ohio. In Iowa there are many Cy/Hawk Stores for Iowa and Iowa State.

Solidarity among MAC fans- we (I hope to provide some designs) are working to provide DIFFERENT and actually DESIRABLE clothing and merchandise for our fan bases.

As a fan I am frustrated when I see cool items for "big" programs but can't get them in burnt orange and seal brown. Kudos to RangerRocket for a. meeting the needs of his fan base and b. recognizing other potential markets, even within a rivalry.

/end rant.
Amen and hallelujiah.

Hats off to RangerRocket. I wish I had the guts to take the financial risk.

On the UT board I remember seeing posts before to RR asking if he would ever sell Falcon merchandise. I think it's cool that he is doing this for you guys.

As someone else said, there is that Buckeye/Wolverine shop. Maybe someday there will be a physical store called the Rocket/Falcon shop.......or Falcon/Rocket shop for those that see it the other way.

There's nothing wrong with pulling together and remember since the merchandise is officially licensed, BG athletics does benefit from anything he sells.

It was smallpox and that is actually overblown. One general one time discussed possibly doing it but it wasnot carried out on any large scale.

All I have to say is that I admire the falcon drawing. Who did the artwork?

I am sure I am going to make waves again, but I am going to go ahead and say it anyway;

I want to start by saying that I respect what Ranger Rocket is doing, and that it is indeed nice to see a variety of items available. On the other hand, as a former employee of the University Bookstore (in the union) I have to say that the amount of money that goes to the university from linsencing is minimal. There is a lot of talk about the bookstore not doing anything for the university and such.
I just want to let you all know that the money that goes into the bookstore goes back to Bowling Green State University. In the past year programs have been implemented to provide scholarships to members of the community, to students who achieve well, and other such exciting things.
In addition to that they sponsor many events both public and private in some capacity. Many of the giveaways at games are a result of the bookstore.

I am not telling you not to support Ranger Rocket, but perhaps it is worth considering when you are making a decision about where to buy your apperal.

Just some food for thought!

Understood, but I doubt very highly the product offerings will be the same. If the bookstore wishes to offer more product variety - specifically through their webby - then I would weigh where the money was going in any product purchases.

As it stands, I believe we have two different entities offerring different set of goods. Similar to Target and Kohls. Both offer some similar and over-lapping products (e.g. Clothing), but both are able to thrive in the marketplace.

The University Bookstore has done a great job the past few years. Much credit should go to Jeff Nelson, Director of the Bookstore, as well as to Yvonne Stoner who does most of the apparel purchasing for the bookstore.

And you are correct that the Bookstore gives a lot back to the University.

That said, RangerRocket is providing a service that I'll browse and if he comes up with other items I like, I'll have no problem purchasing through him, much like I did for my brown jersey (gotta' make sure the Jambulance has gas when it visits BG in the future). As long as he doesn't file frivolous lawsuits against the university (like a certain local bookstore).

That's funny. I keep giving the bookstore money and my tuition bill keeps going up...

Someone who used to work for McGraw-Hill once told me how much a book actually takes to make. I damn near killed him.

transfer: I think it's time to let your vendetta against SBX go. It'll be decided in court and I think just about everyone here knows your view on the situation. Saying "a certain bookstore" hides nothing since they're the only other entity in town.

I'm very thankful to RangerRocket for putting in an investment to something he probably secretly hates without prejudice. Hopefully I'll be able to get a jersey before the Wisky game.

Have you thought about making a shirt for the BG/UT game which doesn't involve something urinating? Make a blue shirt and an orange shirt of the same design for each side maybe?

And just one last bit of advice, don't bother looking into hats. I think Lids (www.lids.com) has plenty in great designs.
