Talk about the Buckeyes the Wolverines the Hilltoppers the Ducks the Beavers the Chanticleers... or anyone else who isn't BG or an opponent in this forum.

UK to host baseball Regional

Post by PGY Tiercel »

Well even though UK went down in the SEC tournament in 2 straight games, they were selected as an at-large for the NCAA. UK is going to host one of the first round regionals this weekend. First time in school history.

UVa is hosting one too, I think this is the second time...we hosted on like three years ago, BGSU33 could correct me...really interested to see who we will be playing

really, really weird to not see LSU, Tulane, Florida, Florida State, or Miami not hosting one...this is like that time when niether Michigan, Nebraska, or Tennesee were in the top 25 in football, or that day Florida, Florida State, and Miami all lost in football

The fields have been set and UK learned who it would play first... Ball State. UK the 1 seed, BSU the 4. Some very nice comments about the MAC from UK head coach,
UK head coach John Cohen wrote: "We feel like we have a very tough draw,” Kentucky head coach John Cohen said. “Ball State won the conference tournament in the MAC, which I feel is a very underrated league. They have a pitcher in (Ben) Snyder who is the kind of guy we see on Friday nights in the SEC."
Game time is 2:00 Friday, shouldn't be do hard to get out of work and go watch, although single game tickets don't go on sale until Thursday if they have any left after session tickets. The stadium seats around 2000 people, hopefully I can get just a couple of tickets.
