In the 2nd game of the UK regional, Ball State beat UK 3-1. It was a pretty good game, wish I would have gone, but it was kind of raining, and it was on TV anyways.
In the first game College of Charlotsville beat Notre Dame, 5-4 in 16 innings. So the #1 and #2 teams in the region both lost the first game. UK will still face ND in the second game, except this game they need to win to stay alive. Not looking good for UK, they have lost the last 4 games, Ball state on the other hand has something like 17 wins in the last 19 games, and went undefeated in the MAC Tourny

Wow their homer radio guy was right- the College of Charleston getting no resepct in Lexington. The newspaper and radio here were running stories about how the other three schools had more fans, and CofC just got forgotten at the press conference. The questions were all about UK hosting, ND getting a lower seed than they deserved and Ball State making the tourney for the first time. They forgot about lil ole College of Charleston making their third straight trip to the NCAAs.
The guy, Phillip Coker, that hit the grand slam in the regional final vs. UK was named the Academic Player of the Year for the whole NCAA. Pretty cool the guy has smarts and clout.

Oops, I screwed that up all on my own. 2 exciting games yesterday. Ball State almost came back on UK late in the game. UK had their chances last night. Bases loaded a couple of times and they just couldn't plate the runs. Bummer for UK, but its good to see them doing well.Dayons_Den wrote:
