WOW............................

Post by Falconboy »

And you guys thought I was pessamestic about BG hockey. As much as I'm inclined to raise a bewildered eyebrow to this guys comments , he could very well be right. I know nothing about what Coach Paluch really is like in the locker room as a coach, I've seen him at Frickers many times talking about the game to some folks and he's seemed like a really likeable guy to me, so I have no clue. My judgements on the team come from what the end results are, and they haven't been good for the past several years. This freddiethefalconBG could very well be eating crow by the end of next season but then again he may not too.

Are you aware the Paluch had improved his record every year except this last year? I'm not saying you're not entitled to an opinion Falconboy, but there's a reason I don't post on the basketball forums much.

I still don't see what people want from Paluch. He's not going to be an extreme in your face kind of coach (although I've heard he's done it a few times with good results). He's quiet and lets his leaders on the ice take charge

I got a few friends on the team and have never heard them say a word about Paluch. Don't you think that if they truly hated the coach they'd transfer?

"Common people"? Methinks not.
"Loosing"? Haven't I read that somewhere before? Loose one of the o's - take your pick.
"Brake their ass"? Maybe if they'd take the brakes off their asses we'd see more wins.

Before the start of every season since Scott Paluch has been coach, he'd spend hours talking up each and every player, and why they should contribute to a successful campaign. These were the players he inherited. I didn't detect misgivings on Scott's part that he had these guys, at least from a hockey standpoint.

I don't have much patience for whiny players, or those who represent them.
I'm proud to be a fan of a team that is run with integrity and academics as higher priorities than w's and l's.

It is pathetic statements such as this one which brings the ire of the general posting population.

I'm keeping it in his/her/its post because I believe the sentence makes more of a statement for the poster than the persons this comment targets.

Finally, Scott Paluch is a BG alum. It's no secret how I stand on supporting our own. Scott Paluch wants the best for this team and this school. He hasn't shown me he is incapable of acheiving success. The only thing which counters my belief are random remarks made by nameless sock puppets on an internet message board.

That is all.

I haven nothing against Paluch. Yeah, I would think a ton of players would be transfering if there was mass hatered of Paluch. There hasn't been any to my knowledge so I have clue what freddiethefalconBG is talking about. He does seem like a quieter , passive coach. Maybe he needs to be tougher I don't know. He sure seems like a complete opposite of Dakich for sure.

If YOU knew anything about hockey, you'd know that the reason we finnished in last place was because of inconsistency in our game. Is this the coach's fault? Partially. But it's more about the players individual inconsistency than the coach's. Some nights certain players were on top of their game and there was nobody in the NCAA that was going to stop them. The next night, they struggled. There's not a lot a coach can do about this if the player isn't willing to listen.

If you supposedly know all these players (past and present) our paths should have crossed before. Anybody can hide behind an anonymous screenname and spout off about anything they want. Seeing as these are your first posts here, and that you actually registered another username to support your views, it leads more and more to you already being a poster here who just wants to stir the pot. This is called a troll. Troll's are not welcomed. If you would like to troll, go over to http://www.uscho.com and start talking crap about BC, BU, or Minnesota. It'll be a lot more fun for you and there will be a lot less chance of your true identity slipping out.

This is my last post in this thread. I refuse to feed trolls and encourage others to do the same.

i didnt sign on with two names. i dont need any one to back me. the problem is people just do not like to hear the truth. i gues the truth hurts. all you people who think the coaching staff is not at fault are just in complete denial or know nothing about the game of hockey. how many of you that like this coaching staff and back them actually played at a high level of hockey. problably none of you. take my word for it. he is a bad coach and none of his players including his own recruits like or respect him. the problem is they cant say anything because paluch will just screw up there careers just like he has already done to wuite a few falcons that did not deserve it. you people have no clue how much power a division 1 hockey coach has in a players career. they can make or break them and he has broken quite a few already.

Thereason you finished in last is because of poor coaching decisions. you know nothing about hockey buddy. and guess what? our paths problably have crossed. im not on this to start fights im on this to make people realize what is happening to this program and i dont want to see any more guys get screwed over by this man (if you want to call him that)a winning team to BG.

With that statement, you proved you are not a BG fan.

Thanks, RUIT, I was about ready to do the same thing. I have been away from the computer since before lunch and planned on locking this thread if it got much worse by the time I got back.

Yeah, but if it's so locked, how come we're all able to reply?? ;-)
