has game time for Wisky been officially announced?

Post by BGSUVA »

I know the site says 1, but any chance they move it for TV or something, or is 1 the official time now? ESPN has pretty much named their schedule for the first few weeks of the season, but they still have noon timeslots open for Sep 2nd (or is there a chance they would move it Sunday for tv?)...I plan on going to it now, since the UVA/pitt game will be at 7, but I'd like an extra hour between games.

also, what side of the field will BG be on?

Everything I've seen says 1, included printed information from the alumni office. I'd be shocked to see that time change, and downright befuddled if they moved it to Sunday for some reason. Plan on 1pm Saturday.

No clue about where BG will be, but I'd assume that it would be the Browns sideline if that is listed anywhere on ticket information.

Not so fast my friend...

I would still think that a change to noon, or for that matter any other time, is possible but maybe it's just me thinking that for regional coverage their always seemed to be a lot of Gameday cutovers to Wisconsin games in the past couple of years.

If this picks up Regional coverage on an ESPN outlet, either ESPN or the deuce, then its even more likely but any announcement of it won't be until a couple of weeks beforehand...not this far out.

So look at a couple of other "drivers"....What time does theOSU play, what are some other key regional matchups during the day...and where is Gameday...c'mon think of the cache of broadcasting with an NFL stadium as a backdrop.

BG's side is on the North side...we'll have the sun in our eyes all day. Not that some of you won't be "blinded" already.

I think with it being the first week of the season, TV games have already been decided. It's not like a mid-season game where a couple of hot starts or intriguing storylines can make a game more appealing. They've looked at the schedule for months now, and I would think have picked what they want on TV and when.

Not saying I can't be wrong, but we all know how often THAT happens.

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls and Falcons everywhere:

The BG-Wisconsin game WILL kick off at 1 PM Saturday September 2.

This game time HAS been set by the host team (BG!) so make your plans. I am coming in Friday and spending a couple nights in town.

All the Alumni Association/Falcon Club events are also set. The Alumni Association shows the Friday night Winking Lizard downtown gathering spot, the tailgate event 11 AM at conveniently orange color schemed Browns Stadium and the House of Blues postgame event. Last time I saw Paul Miles, he was wearing number 29 for the Falcons, but I understand he is an accomplished musical performer too and will be at the House of Blues. Great running back from the early seventies.

Go Falcons!
